I don't like Sullinger at all.
He's a non-athletic (no vertical at all), undersized PF who'll get his shot blocked consistently in the pros.
The only thing I expect him to be decent at is rebounding.
Maybe.

Ugh. Iim normally pumped for the draft by now but I'm just not feeling it at all this year. No mancrushes, no sleepers, nothing. And if those three stay in? Disastrous. Even if we want nothing to do with Sullinger or Irving, it's to ouur extreme benefit that they come out. Say we're drafting 4th overall and those two go before us, that's two players who will slip to us. Or say one or both are there at our pick and another team has fallen in love with one: great trade situation.
You guys all know we are going to draft 7th or 8th, right? It's going to be one of those years where Stern favors a few borderline teams...
We're surely going to get #5 or 6 then...
And I have no idea why I reverted to talking about the Wizards in the "we tense". Just a fan, just a fan, not a GM, owner or anyone with an interest.
The Wizards are going to get screwed in this draft lottery...

It's possible. In the Blake Griffin draft, we were tied with the Clippers for the 2nd worst record. They won the lottery and we got our worst case scenario by dropping all the way to #5 lol.

Well last year The Dictator hooked us because of Abe's passing. They were good friends and Ted was a genius making Irene our team rep. The only way we win this year is if Ted has a closer relationship with Stern than is apparent. Getting fined earlier in the year for talking about the upcoming CBA negotiations probably screwed us though. But in years with no clear franchise player in the draft, Stern normally just let's the lottery balls do their work so maybe we get lucky.
Still, again, whether we're drafting 2nd or 6th, Sullinger not coming out hurts us.
Sullinger would have been the same time of player like Carlos Boozer but less effective. We either get Dwill or Kemba. Kemba and Wall in the backcourt = curry and ellis in golden state
What bad team would he rig it for? I could see him giving it to the Nets, with them moving to Brooklyn they could use another star alongside Deron Williams.
Other than that, yeah it'll probably be a year Stern just says "**** it" and actually lets the lotto balls work their magic.![]()

DC Sports: The Curse Is Real
I don't think it will be possible for us to pick that late. In all likelihood, we'll finish with the second most lottery balls. I think our floor will be picking 5th.
That's exactly what happened to us in 2009...

I would take a Carlos Boozer at PF any day of the week. I disagree Sullinger has a lower ceiling than him though.

Ok guys talking draft, who would you take bewtween Enes Kanter F Kentucky, Jared Sullinger F Ohio state, Derrick Williams F Arizona, Terrence Jones F Kentucky...who \would you take and why
I think Derrick Williams F Arizona is someone we need an athletic SF who can shoot, block and dunk...better than the crap we have, coming in a close second is Enes Kanter PF...6-11 big man who dominated Sullinger in competitions before he got declared ineligible for college. So have at it , who would you take and why
I'd take Sullinger because we desperately need a big who can rebound.
