Love seeing Wall take that shot with confidence.
Love seeing Wall take that shot with confidence.
I pray I didn't just jinx us...

Oh thank God. So glad that desperation leaning 3 from Wright didn't go in.

Good win, but that Beal injury did not look good at all. Doubtful it's a sprain if he couldn't put any pressure on it at all. Darn.
Near collapse, but solid win.
Now we just gotta hope for the best with Beal.

As I said 2 days ago? Wall's jumper has improved and yes it is translating on the floor now. You could already see it in his FTs (which someone told me was bull**** and irrelevant), but reality is it does mean something when he is hitting most his free throws now.
Wall takes heat for his bad games and he gets raise for good ones. He was big at the very end and won this game for us.

Johnny Wall: ice water in his veins.
Doug Collins is a moron for not fouling there.

He hit a jumpshot to seal a game not too long ago, that didn't magically improve his jumpshot.
Jumpshots improve through repetition, confidence is a result of said repetition.
My point about his FT's is that he's always been a mid 75-80% FT shooter, his jumper still suffers.

no his rookie year he was at 76.7% with his FT which is meh to poor for a guard. Last year about 79%, and this year up to 83% so far which is nice. From the basics that is what you look for if a guy can hit FTs. Its not the end all be all thing but there is definitely a correlation there.
I am not saying this because he sealed the game I am saying it because in the knicks game and tonight they are just looking smoother (especially off the dribble) and going in more frequently. He will still have his games where he doesn't make him and they look bad but it would be everygame like it basically has been through his 1st 2 seasons in the nba
Hope Beal isn't sidelined for long, our depth takes a serious hit without him.

He didnt try to walk on it and sprains hurt like mad in the moments after they happen. I have a swollen right foot and ankle as I type this so its all fresh in my head.It could be all sorts of things though so they won't know for sure until after X-rays confirm nothing is broken and the swelling/bruising speaks towards the severity of the injury.
Also, why don't they have a folding wheel chair courtside? I see guys carrying teammates all the time which looks like a bad idea to me. Ankle and knee injuries are goingto happen in basketball regularly, being prepared isn't going to bankrupt any owner.
You know the fan base would freak out if they saw a player get wheeled off in a wheel chair.
