Default PRESS RELEASE: Redskins Make Roster Moves

    PRESS RELEASE

    For Immediate Release

    October 9, 2010

    REDSKINS MAKE ROSTER MOVES

    LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. –
The Washington Redskins announced today that they have signed running back Keiland Williams to their 53-man roster. To make room for Williams, the Redskins waived wide receiver Devin Thomas.

Williams (5-11, 230), originally signed with the Redskins as a college free agent on April 29, 2010, and played in the first three games this season. He has caught six passes for 29 yards (4.8 avg.). Williams’ complete bio can be found on page 286 of the Washington Redskins Media Guide.

Thomas had 40 receptions for 445 yards (11.1 avg.) and three touchdowns in 34 career games, including 11 starts, with the Redskins.

I kinda surprised they release Thomas. I thought he was a decent returner and had potential as a receiver.
    Some things I've learned:
    Always make a plan.
Pay attention to where you are, what you're doing, and how you're supposed to do it.
Never go to a Steak House and order chicken.
Putting a dollar in a g-string costs too much.
Don't insult the dentist before he's finished.

Maybe we will put in a good word to the prison board in NY and sign Plaxio after he is granted a work release.

Seriously, I think we will be looking forward to FA next season for the type of hard-nose WR this team really needs to compliment Moss.

Can we get a wideout that will not fall asleep when Shanny is talking?

    Good move.

I like young guys getting a shot.

Looks like production always trumps draft order in Shanny's system.

I'm really warming up to the coach.

If we're looking for a hard-nosed receiver then I think we'll go FA as well but don't be surprised if we go the draft as well and add another like a Julio Jones who is a very physical and aggressive receiver
