Sorry shf, I'm thinking 54 in the house. Maybe 6 in the senate for the GOP.
Conservatives cant trust Republicans
Bills are generated by the House. They almost had to be the party of no while Pelosi was in charge. That's what opposition parties do. There will be a totally new dynamic when R's are crafting the legislation in the House and Dems are likely putting words to it in the Senate.
I guess the big question is going to be Republican anger versus Republican overconfidence. All the momentum seems angled that way. Does it result in tens and hundreds of thousands staying home because it's in the bag or one gi-normous voting-block party?
going with 52 dems in the senate - 48 repubs.
GOP takes the house with more more then a 15 seat cushion
The Republicans will make gains.
The Republicans will call these gains a sweeping mandate.
The economy will get better. (More accurately, "will continue to".)
The Republicans will loudly, repeatedly, claim credit for this.
Once a month, some Democrat will timidly point out that the economy's been getting better for a year, already. He will be stomped on.
We're all here because
we're not all there
I predict dropping to my knees and screaming like the Skins just won the Super Bowl when it is confirmed that the man-handed witch will officially be handing over the gavel.
FREE THE HOG!!!
House: R +45 to get to 223
Senate: R +7 to get to 48
Gov: R +6 to get to 30
"The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others. His own good is not sufficient warrant." --John Stuart Mill
"The rule of law is to be preferred to the rule of man. We do not permit a man to rule but the law because a man rules in his own interest, and becomes a tyrant but the function of a rule is to be the guardian of the justice and, if justice then of equality." --Aristotle
I would think more people would make a fun prediction with so many people who like politics on this board.
So far we have:

As a PA resident, I'll make these "local" predictions before I head to the poll first thing tomorrow:
In DE, the tea-party witch lady will get POUNCED by Coons. Unfortunate, but true.
In PA, Pat Toomey (R) will defeat, in a VERY close race, Joe Sestak.
In PA, Tom Corbett (R) will defeat Dan Onorato for PA Governor.
That is all.
Oh yeah, I predict that the Skins beat the Eagles with Rex Grossman saving the day (alright, probably not Grossman, but the Skins win next Monday night).
I dislike predictions ,but
House GOP+58
Senate GOP +9
and I feel that is being conservative.
I'm much more concerned about what they will do and what is coming.....it's gonna get bumpy, buckle up.

no justification, but I think people have a tendency to exaggerate
