Something embarrassing about your school

Man, I wish this forum got as much juice as the stupid threads in the Tailgate. Anyway, most of us in here like to puff our chests out during football season and talk about how our schools are going to run the table and play for the National Championship. It's fun, and inevitably almost everyone finishes the season somewhere else.

So in an attempt to bring a little humor around here, post something embarrassing about your schools football program, current or past. Here's mine. In 2006, Penn State sported perhaps their best linebacking trio of all time. Paul Posluszny, Dan Connor, and Sean Lee won 3-4 major awards and combined for somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,000 career tackles combined, and garnered some All-American honors.

Sounds great right. Currently, they play for Buffalo, Carolina, and Dallas, respectively, though Lee does not start and plays in nickel situations. Those are the three worst teams in the league and have a combined record of 2-22 right now. Guess I can't continue to advocate that a Penn State linebacker is the best thing for any defense.

Eh, one game...that doesn't really count. Hell, Penn State lost to Toledo during the dark years. I'm thinking something more along the lines of "Biggest trash talker in recent memory (Corey Moore) makes pros but barely playes because he got shot in the ass."

Getting curbstomped by UF on national TV the last 3 years, especially in the height of the media's Tim Tebow lovefest:
2007- lost 45 to 12
2008- lost 45 to 15
2009- lost 37 to 10

And the 2008 game was played in the rain at FSU, and every media outlet, when showing Tebow highlights, ALWAYS shows a clip of him doing the Gator Chomp towards the sidelines while covered in red paint, like he's a bloody warrior or something, when it's the garnet paint from Doak Campbell. His 2007 game against FSU basically sealed his Heisman.

That's probably the most painful/embarrassing thing FSU has contributed to recently.

The academic scandal (with online music classes of all things) in 2007 wasn't fun either.

One time my school's football coach withdrew a scholarship offer to Steve Slaton and gave it to Morgan Green. A few years later we gave him a contract extension, made his offensive coordinator head-coach-in-waiting, and our team went 2-10.

Of course now the Terps are 8-4. Our football department is still awful though.
