Oh OK...so we're looking at about an inch in Loudoun County and nothing until the afternoon. That doesn't sound too bad...

That seems like it would be a little more enjoyable for my kids. Might even require some shoveling...thanks for the info!

No offense (seriously), but are you one of the experts in this thread or is this just your belief? I can't get that first sentence to not sound mean, but I'm honestly just asking if you're basing your prediction on anything or just giving your gut feeling?

    Thanks!

Is that snow depth or pre-"storm" salt/brine depth?

I am seeing predictions on accumulation anywhere from a coating to as much as 6". It literally is a look out your back window thing. In Spotsylvania for example with the storm a few weeks ago, not the Christmas storm, but before that, the Southwestern portion of the County received 3" while the Northeastern part received 1".
    Where's the beef?

Thanks man...one question you might be able to help me with though...does the timing still look like tomorrow afternoon/evening or could it hit earlier than that?

We were all spoiled by last year's multiple big storms. We usually only get one good storm every 3-5 years and we got 3 historic (for my area) storms last year alone. I am going to go out on a limb and say that this year will be business as usual and we, meaning Southern MD, will get one or two storms that bring 1-3" and the rest giving us the dreaded wintry mix. We are going to have to wait another 3-5 years before we get another storm that brings over a foot of snow to the area.
