Only calling for an inch in my area![]()
Oh OK...so we're looking at about an inch in Loudoun County and nothing until the afternoon. That doesn't sound too bad...
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

The latest NAM has IAD in the 2-4" range...

DC area will probably get another dusting, this winter has been nothing but a tease.
I will send you guys some from Long Island. We should have plenty extra after this one.

I am so glad none of that weather is hitting here
Twice spared from huge storms
They say Atlanta is snowed under
I am seeing predictions on accumulation anywhere from a coating to as much as 6". It literally is a look out your back window thing. In Spotsylvania for example with the storm a few weeks ago, not the Christmas storm, but before that, the Southwestern portion of the County received 3" while the Northeastern part received 1".
Where's the beef?

We were all spoiled by last year's multiple big storms. We usually only get one good storm every 3-5 years and we got 3 historic (for my area) storms last year alone. I am going to go out on a limb and say that this year will be business as usual and we, meaning Southern MD, will get one or two storms that bring 1-3" and the rest giving us the dreaded wintry mix. We are going to have to wait another 3-5 years before we get another storm that brings over a foot of snow to the area.
FWIW Henry Marguisty posted a new snow map this morning has areas like Harrisonburg in the 3-6 range and parts of NOVA in 3-6 but also areas like Fairfax being in the 1-3
