I really like that Shanahan has a plan and is sticking to it, irregardless of what the media and fans would do.

Like the old addage- If it aint broke, dont mess with it.
Well this team is all busted to hell.
And I believe Shanahan is the one to put it back together.

Exactly... but it won't... I'm sure they are coming up with new theories as we speak. Shanahan made a huge mistake that cost this football team. Hopefully, he learned his lesson.

I love shanny's response and this should stop all of the BS speculation threads that go on here. He is here to evaluate and build a team to win, it may take some time and the best part of all, is that he doesn't give a **** who he pisses off in the process, He's doing it for the redskins!!! All I gotta say is GO SHANAHAN! God we needed a coach like this for a long, long time.

Hate that Shanny made the mistake on the McNabb trade.

Happy that he's taking a longer view beyond this season.

This is exactly how I feel. I'm really really disappointed that McNabb hasn't worked out. It would have been fantastic, and because of that, it was at least worth a try. Having said that, at least he's not going to stick with the mistake even after he knows it was a mistake. If that were the case, then we might as well have kept Zorn.

EDIT: And RACISM?! What an idiotic question. The guy has given chances to Anthony Armstrong, drafted Trent Williams and Perry Riley, he gave Brandon Banks a chance when very few in the NFL would have (at 5'7" and 155). I don't even understand the basis for that question, and there isn't any logic to it. What a dumb ******* question, honestly.

I must be missing the point here, I don't see how this would "close down" any threads. I mean, it's not like a lot of people were letting facts stand in their way before or anything.........

This article is just a bunch of different Shanahan quotes strung together in a mock question and answer format.

I think that at this point everyone is just saying the right things. Of course Shanny isn't going to admit that Uncle Dan forced the trade for McNabb. And of course Donovan is saying that he wants to come back to Washington; he doesn't want to come off as a disgruntled, overpaid player to potential suitors (take notes Haynesworth.)

Bro, so you actually believe that Dan was behind the McNabb trade?

When we got Shanahan, I finally thought we had the man to lead our team. But all this garbage has made me think twice.

I'm not sure why we re-signed McNabb.

At this point, I'd like to think he wasn't, but who knows anymore? I have not seen one person on this board who is completely accurate about what's going on with this team. Do I know for sure that Danny was behind it? No. But Dan Snyder, whether he's involved in the day to day or not, is known for wanting to win now. The fact that Shanahan is constantly flip flopping back and forth with his decisions makes him very hard to read. At this point, anything is possible.

Shanny is right with needing to evaluate the team. There are a lot of people who have under preformed this year and we need to get a look at other guys who could potentially make an impact for this team going forward.

If they weren't impressed you sign him to the extension so you can trade him at the end of the year. That's what they did it or at least that's how I perceived it
