What number did Archuleta wear?
What number did Archuleta wear?
Doesn't mean he can't wear another number in the 30s, then.
27 is open.
29 is worn by Chad Simpson and Reggie Jones, so he could take that pretty easily.
38 is worn by Sha-reff Rashad, so he could probably take that.
39 is worn by Shawnbrey McNeal, so he could probably take that.
EDITED: To get rid of all the numbers that I originally listed that are retired/"untouchable". Atogwe has no options except 27. And someone will suggest 27 isn't available because of Brad Edwards.

I offered #27 to him. I think anything in the 40s would look ugly.
I wasn't so much suggesting them.
I was saying what was available.
Wasn't even thinking when I typed 33 or 44. Just thinking of unused numbers. No, he shouldn't wear 33 (it's retired, so he can't) or 44. But there's still a ton of options.
Let Young keep 36. No reason a FS needs to wear it.

With all due respect, I will not be rocking nor even asking to rock 21...

42 because Atogwe is the answer to the ultimate question of our defense, turnover ratio, success, and everything.![]()

That's Charley Taylor's number.
One of, if not my favorite Skin of all time.
Still that being said, it's been 34 years since Charley hung 'em up and the number is not retired (only 33 is) so I think it may be time to break it out of mothballs and have a 42 on our team again.
If O.J. wants it I think I don't have any issue.

Yeah, I do. It was a scrub TE in training camp, and I think Bobby's issue was that nobody in the FO had the slightest idea it was his old number. If it had been handled differently, and with a different player maybe it would not have been an issue.
I'm noticing a trend.
People keep saying he can't wear this number or that number because someone else wore it. Including me. So, I say eff it. Wear whatever number he wants that's not retired/21.
26 can't be worn because of Portis.
27 can't be worn because of Brad Edwards.
28 can't be worn because of Green.
33 can't be worn because of Baugh (retired).
36 can't be worn because of Sean Taylor.
42 can't be worn because of Charley Taylor.
43 can't be worn because of Larry Brown.
44 can't be worn because of Riggins.
49 can't be worn because of Bobby Mitchell.
Seriously?
I'd say 21 and 33 are off limits. 28 is still kind of fresh. But the rest? Who cares.
