Technically, he was a TB or a HB depending on whether you consider Baugh a HB or a TB and then our first modern QB in 1944.
Of course, just being a bit of a stickler. Until the last team gave up the shotgun as it's base formation, the primary passer was either the TB, FB or HB. Until 1933, it was pretty much impossible for the QB to throw the ball except in forms like the Notre Dame Box.

A bad plan well executed may work. A good plan badly executed will always fail.
Question time: Without checking the boxscores or websites, can anyone name the kicker who missed the field goal at the end of regulation in the 1991 Redskins/Oilers game, thereby prolong the Redskins' undefeated streak?

Ian Howfield! I remember the radio call on that one was something along the lines of "God must have bet on the Redskins!" when he missed that FG. I believe D Green then picked off a pass in OT to set up our game winning FG?
Howfield missed 3 PATs in one game against Cincy that season. I also think he had some feud with Al Del Greco too.

Ian Howfield? I remember my friends making fun of him crying in front of reporters after the game saying if he ever got another chance...pretty sure he didn't and the Oilers cut him/ 20-19 final? Pretty sure they outplayed us that day.
Damn Southtown beat me to it.
If it went to OT, must have been 20-17 final then. Getting old sucks.

Good work. I was sitting in the endzone behind the goalposts during that kick. Ball landed about 10 rows to my right.

Here's a simple one, so no internet again. Who hold the Redskins record for most sacks in a single season, and how many?

I can and WILL play Redskins games too in the future...
Well I'm almost positive it''s Manley but the number? 18 or 18.5 or so I think? I know it wasn't 19+.
Actually there was a stat in one of my old games that I broadcast and it said Manley between 83-87 had many more sacks than LT did during that same timeframe. I think it was Manley had 55-60 and LT had 50 or so.
