I could easily see VA Senator Mark Warner being a candidate for the '16 election.
Yeah Hillary over Biden. People just don't like him. I would like to see some more choices so I can keep an eye out on them.
Gone, but not forgotten... RIP RP
I'm thinking about throwing my hat in the ring........what do you guys think?
I like Biden way more than Hillary. Though that is just based on the personalities that I see shown in the media. He seems more like a regular guy. I like people that say **** every now and then.

Mark Warner was the first named that popped into mind
DC Sports: The Curse Is Real
Recent political troubles have hurt their candidate list for 2016. I'd say they'll look to the states. Warner, Cuomo and O'Malley could all be attractive.
James Traficant has done his time, he should be ready to throw his hat in the ring.
If James is enjoying retirement, maybe Murtha or Rangel could be persuaded to do their civic duty.
Hillary will be 69. I don't see that happening. Biden will be 71. Ditto for him.
Republicans typically nominate the next man in line, which is why I still think that when all is said and done Mitt Romney is your 2012 nominee.
Democrats have a tendency to nominate young governors who had relatively low national profiles until the campaign (Carter, Dukakis, Clinton) or youngish attractive Senators (Kennedy, Obama). The only next man standing nominees of my lifetime were Mondale in '84 and Kerry in '04 and (maybe Gore in '00 though that was kind of a no brainer).
So here are the people who fit the profile:
Andrew Cuomo
Martin O'Malley
Deval Patrick
Jack Markell
Out of the Senate, I could see Mark Pryor, Mark Warner and maybe Bob Casey. (Warner and Casey are owed a lot of favors by a lot of people. Casey's problem - of course - will be his stance on abortion).
The rest of the pack? I'm not sure. Evan Bayh is always in the discussion. Kathleen Sebelius will have the same age problem Hillary has - though she is far lesser known and may just come across as younger. Janet Napolitano is such a lightning rod on the immigration issue that I can't see her being a real threat.
Here's a scenario. Gavin Newsome gives a speech at the 2012 convention that sets the room on fire. Jerry Brown resigns shortly thereafter citing health reasons. Newsome wins re-election is 2014. The California economy recovers enough to give him credibility as a young whiz kid. There is your next President. (Granted, a former mayor of San Francisco running for President creates an awful lot of talk radio nonsense. But so does a black guy from Chicago).

Hillary and Biden will probably be too old. I don't think we know who that voice is yet. Most of the names being bandied about are old hat names. Someone will likely rise from obscurity. Republicans have been the party of succession with each taking their turn in line. That's why Dole and McCain were the nominees. Democrats are the party where people emerge and the frontrunner usually doesn't make it... like a Carter or Clinton or an Obama
Here's a darkhorse candidate:
Newark NJ's mayor Corey Booker.
