I'm going to buy it tomorrow after work. I don't play as much as I use to and I'm not as good of a player as I use to be. If you want at add me as a friend my PSN is RIPDOG. Don't add me if you don't play realistic football!!!
Just went and watched my friends playing it. Passing on it for the third year in a row.
I'm not buying it because I suck at defending passes. Seriously, I can't figure out how to defend passes in any modern Madden game. Whenever I take over the defender I can't follow the WR route, I can't break up passes, can't intercept..nothing. As soon as I get "focus" on the defender the WR just breaks away from me. My son has figured out that all he has to do is run the Hail Mary on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th down every possession against me and he wins. My pals say "just let the computer control your corners and safeties in coverage", but that just feels cheap and unsatisfying to me.
So until I can noodle out pass defending I'll just stick with 2011. No point in paying $60 for my kids to throw Hail Marys for 60 minutes, just with better graphics.

From what I've heard, I may end up buying in this year after skipping 11... although I still fully expect to regret it.
Your pals are right, you shouldn't be controlling cornerbacks or deep safeties if you can't handle it. Be smart and start out by playing short zones with LBs and safeties until your timing and control improves then eventually graduate to deep safety coverage. After you get good at that you should be able to handle just about anything. What you have right now is a serious controller coordination deficit![]()

The only thing that made Madden 10 fun was the ES Online Franchise that lasted 5-6 weeks or so before everyone stopped playing. I was pissed because I was in first place with the Colts at the time.
Wish there was a way to do that and make sure everyone still participated as the season went along.
RIP Royallypwned
anybody playing franchise and having EVERY SINGLE game being played in the pouring rain??
It never changes
its so weird and it makes Beck suck even worse

It's a glitch for specific teams. I have it as well. The idiots at EA sports made a "random algorithmic equation" or some variant of this bull**** to make "realistic random weather"..While doing this, they took away your option to custom choose weather before each game.
The developers of Madden are truly a bunch of thumb sucking morons. The only reason they get my $60 every year is because I love football. I wish 2k had never lost the rights to make NFL games.

How much longer is this damn monopoly going to happen? As others have said, EA Sports is great with FIFA and NHL. FIFA is one of the best games every year. But they **** everything else up, especially Madden. People complain about the commentary, complain about the weather. Why can't EA get simple things like this right?
oh thanks dude...that is soo mind numbingly stupid smh
and the commentary is piss poor...they sit there and talk about one player all game and dont say **** about the actual game
and the lack of real sustained crowd noise pisses me off to no end every year
it's the divisional playoffs and quiet as hell
The NHL series has the best playoff atmosphere in all of gaming

Even NCAA got the crowd noise right...My best guess is that the idiots at EA know no matter how ****ty Madden is, people will still buy it. The other two games still have competition on the market. FIFA has PES and NHL has the 2K series, therefore they need to improve upon those games to make sure they keep their market share. Until the monopoly ends, this will continue to happen every year.
