    Massive corporate welfare.

Renewed and expanded awful Republican policies such as Bush tax cuts for rich, erosion of rights, Guantanamo etc.

2000, lately many of your posts don't make all that much sense to me. So we'll just agree to mystify each other.

Chip, I think not voting for such reasons makes sense when that's the feeling you have about it. Voting is a personal thing, and you certainly have as much "right" to complain as anyone else if you choose not to vote out of such a stance (as opposed to just being lazy--THEN, you shouldn't complain). My two cents.

Corc, I also hear that sentiment about Obama from a number of democrats---mainly the more seriously left/liberal leaning folk, and not at all people I'd consider "lefty loons"---so you're hardly alone

This is a very political area though (near the state capitol) so there may be a little more diversity of opinion here than I gave credit for in my earlier post.

Wow. I did, and that video was interesting, but also after chasing some links there out of curiosity, I was reminded why it is not a practice of mine to explore interwebz political sites. It is sure true that there are a lot of nutters out there on all kinds of the spectrum and they are scary.

Here's some I saw early on (and some I know really aren't all that bad in comparison--which is also scary).

Once again the Left proves, without a shadow of a doubt, that there’s nothing they won’t say or do against people with the “R” next to their name. Now, if this was a story about Obama and his gay lover from Chicago (which there was), they’d spike this story so deep into the ground it would pop out the other side of the Earth.
One always needs to bear in mind that there is essentially NO documentation on who Obama is or was or what he did until he went to Harvard, and scant evidence there as well. It is all “under seal.” Obama and his acolytes do not deal in the truth and transparency.
Rick is right that mainline Protestantism has lurched left, just look at Barry’s “Jesus was a socialist” remark. Of course, Catholicism has it’s own serious problems with leftism as well.
One can expect the Lying Stream Media and their liberal sychophants to increase the lies and innuendo against conservatives as we get closer to the election.

The Bible says what will happen in the latter days in 2 Tim 3:1-9:

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest to all men, as their’s also was.

Rick Santorum’s comments were correct regarding the state of mainline protestant churches. Many are in a shambles. These denominations have allowed false doctrines that are antithetical to Biblical teaching to permeate their churches. Which false doctrines one may ask? The acceptance and elevation of homosexuality as normal when it is specifically found to be an abomination to God. The condoning of the perversion of God’s covenant of marriage by officiating and accepting marriage other than between a man and a woman as God has ordained. The “looking” away at the murder of innocent life in the womb. Claiming that Jesus was not actually resurrected after his death and burial – note the “having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof” in 2 Tim.

When Satan learned he couldn’t destroy the church by persecution from the outside, he joined the church to create havoc from within. He’s gotten a foothold in many of our so-called Christian churches.

In the political arena, Saul Alinsky and the left had a master teacher in Satan.
On the subject of Satan’s Spawn, I was just reading on Drudge that Moochelle and the kids just took off to Aspen for a Presidents day skiing vacation. I’m sure that her thinking is that it is presidents day and her hubby is president so all us tax paying peasants should be made to pay for this trip also…This is more than pathetic…And hardly a mention by the lame stream media.
    morally opposite Obama = “winner”
    economically opposite Obama = “winner”
too bad they are two different candidates.. *sigh*

imho, what good are morals & economics if we
lose our country to foreign & domestic radicals..

we need someone who is STRONG ON DEFENDING AMERICA’S
FREEDOMS = W/OUT IT THERE IS NOTHING TO DEFEND.. GAH!!

Brrrrrrr...I get shivers when I think of just what kind of people really are out there walking around loose.

My uncle grew up next door neighbor to Santorum.

Said the neighborhood boys called him "Rooster" because he looked like one.

    Colorado voted for him.

    I am embarassed.

But then again, all of the Republicans embarass me. So that's not anything new. Where the **** is Chris Christie?!? I just polished my silver platter to hand our nominee's head on to Obama. Pathetic.

Is there even a single state that Frothy could win in the General? I personally doubt it. In fact, I dont think he could pull more than 15-20% nationally. Heck, with women, he'd likely get less than 10%.

Yet another disaster the GOP electorate seems to bring on themselves. The GOP deserves all the losses they get. Idiots
    Conservatives cant trust Republicans

    The Frothy Rooster.

Seriously, this is just another sign that those who really would be good at it are also too smart to run for it. As far as Christie....I know it sounds shallow. But he's too fat. I don't know WHY....but who was the last fat person we elected President? Who was the last fat world leader? People want somebody who looks strong and capable.

Women will vote for Obama, because contraception was put on the table by the radical, theocratic right.

I'm not happy that Obama is not sufficiently left. When there are Dominionists who think that homosexuals should be executed and when they want to control women right down to state sanctioned rape by implement, we are way off the track of what the Founding Fathers wanted for this country as to the role of religion in government (clue: NONE). I live on land once owned by George Washington, I've studied the Revolutionary War and the founding of this country since 7th grade (Virginia History and forward on my own), and this is not what they wanted.

What do you call it when the state mandates vaginal penetration by an ultrasound wand without consent? That says rape to me, and to lots of other women.

I don't want Obama back in office but there is no wayu Santorum will be able to beat Obama is the general election.

Santorum probably won't be able to get a debate going on real issues against Obama.

Vote for Santurom during the GOP election is essentially vote for Obama back in the office for 4 more years.

At least vote for Paul would be a vote against the current political establishment.

    A) Not all ultrasounds are trans-vaginal.
    B) The Virginia law appears punitive in its requirement for that specific type.
