Slack, I wasn't trolling. I'm straight forward. I say alot of things that most people are thinking. I've been in many relationships. And I've been in ones like he is describing, where I was alot older than the girl. Not saying it doesn't, or can't work. But the odds are definitely against them. She's too young to really know what she wants.
But like I said earlier, I hope I'm wrong. I wish them all the best. From his posting history, he seems like a good dude.
Congratulations man, although in that first pic, she's got a WTF look. The rest of the pics are very strong.

You hit the nail on the head. I am not upset one bit by anything Bubble Screen wrote either. He is speaking reality. Even when most friends and family heard about it they had the same reaction until they met my special lady and then they saw just how lucky I am. Her age does seem young but she is the most mature and real person I have ever met. We are the same in every way in what we like, what we want in life, how we treat people and everything else you can think of. I have been in 3 long term relationships my last eing 10 months ago and that relationship was 7 1/2 years. The last thing i was looking for was a relationship. I spent 5 months with this girl building a friendship without either one of us thinking we liked each other. What we have is special and it feels like a dream every day being with her. I have never had someone want to do things that she does for me to make my life easier and to make me happy. And she is so wonderful with children. It warms my heart. This girl is nothing short of amazing. She is the best person I have ever met in my whole life. I can go on and on about her great qualities. But all I can say is no Im not wrapped up in her being young and hot. I have always had hot girls in my life. I dont care about looks or age at all. If any of you meet her you will see just how lucky I am. I thank you all for your kind words and I will spend every day for the rest of my life trying my hardest to bring Samantha smiles and laughter. I could not be any happier in life as I am today. I am very blessed. Everything this year has been so perfect with work and my personal life. I believe good things happen to good people and I have never let other people or situations change who I am and I live my life as an example each day to everyone around me of how a person should live their lives and treat other people. Now I have finally found the one missing piece in my life. And like Drew said with Samantha I just know she is the one I am meant to spend the rest of my life with. I have no doubt. What we have is the most special connection any two people could find. I just want my ES family to know I am the luckiest and happiest man on the planet and I cant wait till I get to kiss my bride tomorrow!!! HTTR
That sounds great, Hogg. And I'm glad you weren't offended by my comments. I was just speaking from experience. You're happy. That's all that matters.
I disagree. I met my wife and started dating her in high school, I was 17 (Senior) and she was 15 (Sophmore). We knew after 4 or 5 months we would spend the rest of our lives together and have. This August, we will have been together for 19 years and this past May we celebrated our 13th wedding aniversery. We got married right before our last semester in college and I was 22 and she was 21, so I don't think her getting married at age 20 means she doesn't know what true love is and I disagree with your statement that you don't know what your partner wants.
Also, why would you bring up the cost of the wedding? That's just flat out rude man.
Anyhow, Congrats HoggLife! Best of luck to you and your lady.

So because of your failed past relationships, you assume the odds are against him? And most 20 year olds nowdays have experienced enough life to know what they want in life. Point is, we know nothing about what she has experienced in life, how many relationships she's been in, etc. You have a right to your opinion, I'll respect that, but you had to bring the mood down of the thread by making negative posts based on your personal experiences and thats just a ****ty thing to do to someone who is happy and decided to share it with others.
Yes I know it's a public forum board, but it seems like you were the only one that just had to "go there" instead of keeping your thoughts to yourself.
Riggins, Again, I wasn't trolling. Other people, including Hogg himself, didn't think I was. And his opinion is all that matters.
Anyway, you are basically using the same argument that I am. You're using YOUR experience to justify that what they're doing is right. Just because you and your wife were able to make it work, doesn't mean H,ogg and his young bride to be will. My issue remains her age, along with the gap in their ages. Most 20 year olds DON'T know what they want in life or a relationship. And sorry, but there's no way they have lived enough at that age to truly know what they want. The odds are against them. But like I've said, I hope I'm wrong. I wish them the very best.
Congrats and good luck
I dunno. I just think in a thread like this, all that needs to be said is "congratulations and good luck." But to each his own.
FREE THE HOG!!!
Congratulations.
FWIW, I'm 43 and my wife is 33. We'll be celebrating our 7th in a couple of weeks.

Well a quick update on my marriage. I have been married for a year and a half now and I could not ever imagine being any happier. My wife shows me so much love and support and has been the greatest friend I can ever ask for. I am proud to say that my beautiful wife is now 20 weeks pregnant and is giving me my first baby girl. I have 2 boys and i was so wishing to finally have a Daddys Girl. I love life and all my dreams have came true.
