Charge 3:

What I learned today: want to kill someone, go to Orlando.

Dosn't matter, that doesn't cut it as evidence of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. What did she even lie about if she didn't do anything wrong??
And it's not like her lawyer did anything that special. The prosecution didn't have much, if any, evidence that PROVED she did ANYTHING.
the prosecutions case here was much weaker than the case against OJ
my gut tells me she was somehow involved with the child's death (defense admits to this) but that she didn't intentionally murder her... what actually happened? we'll never know. The prosecutions case was mostly founded on trying to prove one of the other felonies so that they could get her w/ felony murder (felony murder is when you are guilty of murder if anyone dies as a result of your felony... accidental or not), but they couldn't do that, so the felony murder was out, and they didn't have a case for garden variety murder, so that's that.

Formerly known as "Liberty"
The State did a good job presenting their case.
It's the cops that screwed this up by :
1) Not searching the area JUST a couple hundred feet from her home, thus allowing the body to deteriorate beyond abililty to determine cause of death, etc,
2) Blowing off Ray Kronk, who found the body, by ignoring him several times, thus allowing the body to deteriorate beyond abililty to determine cause of death, etc,
I barely followed the case but I can't be convinced given what I've heard that she actually did it. That said, I know that when things seem as fishy as they did w/ the circumstances, etc, then she probably did something wrong. I would never be able to be a juror on a case like that. I imagine a lot of them went against their gut instincts for what seems like the "right" verdict.
Everyone in here was really so sure she murdered her child? I didn't follow it that closely, but I heard a lot of information that would have made it hard for me to convict on murder charges.
What would A World Without Lawyers be like?
TV commentators saying she most likely wont get a prison sentence.
