Nice ****ing play calling down the stretch Locksley. If that guy couldn't recruit he'd be useless.
Such horrible time management in that last drive. When you get sacked with 45 seconds left and you have two timeouts left you call a timeout! I hate when coaches leave timeouts on the board. You have them for a reason, call one! Idiotic.
i was at the game and this team has no clue on clock management whatsoever. They literally have 2 run plays on offense. You could tell they were playing for a FG but problem is that your FG kicker cant kick anything.
Last year, this game would have been a UConn blowout and Maryland might not have seen the end zone more than once.
So it's good to see Edsall's program stepping up from fully comatose to merely embarrassing.
Only losing to powerhouse UConn by 3? Let's just go ahead and give Edsall a 5-year extension with an even more astronomical buyout.
Danny benched over at Wisconsin...I'm still a fan of his but maybe he wasnt as good as we all thought?
The Terps are playing WVU at 12:00PM on FX.
The Terps will also be unveiling thier new "White Ops" uniforms.
already down 14-0. Edsall looks lost and angry out there. If possible, he'd be taking them I-AA by end of the season. Pure shambles.
The Uni's look cool. The helmets especially.
This team is playing hard after that mistake. Hopefully the rain will equalize the game!
I'm shocked that this is tied beyond the 2nd quarter
Good job by MD so far, props for them for showing up today
Doesn't mean anything but I'll take it.

The Harrison twins showed up but aren't playing yet. One of them is wearing Maryland practice shorts.

Alex Len returns to the Terps ready for an even better season
COLLEGE PARK—
— Bulkier and more self-assured, Maryland center Alex Len appears poised for a breakout season after an uneven freshman year in which he said he struggled to adjust to the physical nature of the American game and to understand play calls because of his limited English.
"I didn't understand a lot of plays," the 7-foot-1, Ukraine-born player said Tuesday in his first interview since joining the Terps last year. "I wasn't getting it, so it was really hard. I was really like confused on the court. When I caught the ball I didn't know what to do. Now I feel more comfortable."
Len has gained 25 pounds since arriving on campus last season as a reserved, 18-year-old freshman who was reluctant to shoot in games. He developed so markedly over the summer — and became more fluent in English — that coach Mark Turgeon on Tuesday called him "a different Alex."
"He's close to being twice as good in the low post," Turgeon said. "He's much further along. He's got so much more game in him that we'll bring out."
Len's comfort level has increased on and off the court.
"American basketball, it was really hard to adjust — much more physical," Len said. He said he is more at ease with the language, his studies, being noticed by fans and his social life.
"Last year, I didn't know English, so people would come talk to me. It was…challenging. It was a little embarrassing," Len said.
He spoke haltingly at times — he can still be shy — but understood most of the questions from the media.
His adjustment to American life has been aided by senior Essence Townsend, a 6-foot-7 center on the women's basketball team who is from Paterson, N.J. "It's no secret" that the two are dating, she said. Len and Townsend have become Maryland's most recognizable couple.
"It's hard to miss us," she said. "One of our teammates Googled 'tallest couple in the world' and they were like 7-feet and 6-4, so we beat them."

Terps' Stefon Diggs named ACC Rookie of the Week
Terps freshman Stefon Diggs was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Week after his performance in Saturday's 31-21 loss to West Virginia, the league announced Monday.
Diggs had three catches for 113 yards and two touchdowns, as well as 63 kickoff return yards and 25 punt return yards, in the defeat. With 201 all-purpose yards, it marked the second straight game that Diggs went over 200 all-purpose yards. The Gaithersburg native scored on a 42-yard catch in the first quarter and a 56-yard reception in the fourth quarter.
Diggs follows quarterback Perry Hills as an ACC Rookie of the Week this season. Hills earned the award after going 11 of 21 for 190 yards, two passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in a 36-27 win over Temple on Sept. 8.
