Thread: Maryland Basketball (some football) recruiting news (Shaq, Layman Commits!)

I really don't see what the holdup is with Wells. I mean didn't Xavier say they wouldn't get in the way? Will the NCAA still penalize him? How's this different from when Maryland released O'Brien to go to Wisconsin?

The difference is that Danny O'Brien graduated in three years and went to Wisconsin as a grad student. That means he was eligible immediately.

Dez otoh, falls under the "has to sit out a season after transferring" rule pending a decision by the NCAA.

Dez to sit out a year. Terps will appeal.

Tough loss for MD, but you can clearly tell they are better than last year. All they need is some defense

    Just beleaguered by injuries

Maryland's defense is ranked in the top 10 in the nation.

Yeah but they self-destructed twice in the 4th quarter

Have to play all 60 minutes

Four season-ending knee/leg injuries to Maryland QBs and per @alex_prewitt, no more scholarship QBs left on the roster.

The same twitter implies that a LB may start at QB for Maryland against GT

    Good luck LB

You just gotta be kidding me with these injuries. 4 QBs hurt for the year and two in the same game. Unreal.

What about having Diggs at QB running the read option?

All players designated as QB for the Terps get hurt. Therefore, I don't want to see that!

Maybe they can pay a transfer fee for Rex Grossman

In all seriousness though, sucks for Maryland. Diggs could use a good QB to throw him the ball

Maryland has looked rocky last year but looked a lot better this year and I am impressed. They were just beset by QB injuries, what a shame. With healthy QB's, Maryland could be pretty good.

I admit it, I was wrong about Edsall

If I'm randy edsall I would put Stefon diggs at QB and run the triple option the rest of the season. #terps
