RT @McMurphyESPN: Maryland's board of regents unanimously approves move to Big Ten, source tells @ESPN
Interesting move for Maryland. I don't see how it really helps them either way. But this looks to be the start of the end of the ACC, especially if FSU leaves for the Big 12 now.
I would think FSU would be thinking SEC.

Good, then I guess we are ahead of the curve. I would think a few of those schools are SEC bound though. Maybe UNC and Duke don't like the SEC academic reputation and try to get into BigTen also.
I'd have to think two more schools go to big ten, and then four end up in SEC. I could see, GT, Duke, UNC, FSU, Miami, UVA, and/or UVA all being desirable to the SEC. Could see Duke, UNC, and UVA being desirable to the BigTen. Along with Notre Dame still.

There goes that Maryland Duke Rivalry![]()
Although Duke fans try to claim it's not a rivalry![]()

Pour a 40 for the Terps todayToo much money for Maryland to say no to Big 10. Sad to leave 60 years of history in the ACC but Terps aren't the 1st and won't be the last
Feels wrong. Even though they don't belong I would hate to see Dallas leave the NFC East. Similarly, I don't like the notion of Maryland leaving behind all its history and rivalries.
There are rumors that FSU and Clemson could be looking to bolt as well.
In perusing Big10 boards the idea scenario is to pick off some combination of VA, UNC and GT.
Sounds like the BIG10 is trying to do it big.
I can see why Maryland would want to be in the Big 10, but I'm not sure why the Big 10 wants Maryland.
I am tradionalist, but I am actually excited about this possible move.
