Probably. I'm not up on recruiting. The only recruiting news I see is in here.

I agree with you guys. A real PG is the key to a team like this. They have talent, but play scared at times. They need to play like they own it.
Thanks for the sig LCSF
I like our coach and totally agree that MD is going in the right direction. We are just not that good right now.
Listen guys, the Terps are young as hell. They have some pieces there. It will take time. We will be a bubble team down to the wire.
I agree that guard play is what is lacking right now. Nick Faust is terrible at handling the ball. Last night he must have lost the ball at least four times, once just him dribbling with no pressure. He is really good at driving to the hoop, but he cannot handle on the ball pressure or shoot that well. Howard is whatever, he doesn't really have an off hand. Wells is pretty good but he also struggles against good defense. Howard will probably start at PG next year because he will be a senior but Peters should get a lot of time there.
Also, Mitchell and Cleare need to develop some offensive game because right now their post play is lacking. They are beasts on the boards. Len is really the only one getting us points down low. I did like seeing Layman slashing to the hoop last night, he has size. And if Aronhalt can shoot like he is able to, which is really well, then that adds a whole new dimension to this team. Allen can do that too, with Wells occasionally hitting from beyond the arc. He hit a big one last night. I am cautiously optimistic that we can still make a little noise this year.
What would A World Without Lawyers be like?
Yeah, too many turnovers by our guards this year, especially the PGs. And the fact that we don't have anyone that can hit the broad side of a barn with consistancy hurts too, because we have some guys who will go to the basket, but it's useless to kick it out if nobody is making their shots consistantly.

To echo what others have said.
- This is a very young team
- The guard play has been below average
- They need more discipline and less free styling
- Turg is working his ass off and I think they are headed in the right direction
- I wish they would play meaner though. Make fouls count. Don't be dirty...rather be strong. Against a lot of these teams you'll get called for the light foul, so make it count.
Oh, and those Maryland Pride Uni's are great. Wear those all the time. Lets see a gold one.
Well I am glad to see that all of the MD "greatness" threads have have stopped...
This team will have ups and downs. It could still be a sweet 16 team, who knows. Teams gethot at the right time of the season all of the time and make a run. See Nc St last year.
They haven't had any bad losses this year. They lost to Kentucky, at Miami and UNC, and at home to the defending ACC Champs, FSU. I guess the FSU game was the worst loss.

can someone, who understands basketball officiating, explain to me how the Duke guards were allowed to play with their hands all over the Maryland guards and why Plumlee is allowed to dip his shoulder into his defender at will and why the Duke big men where flopping around like fish out of water all day while clean blocks and contact way after shots where called against Maryland? They may have lost anyway, but this team cannot overcome the other team and clearly influenced and possibly biased referees...

Have you ever seen Duke play before? It's funny because even when they don't need the benefit of every close call, they still get them. What was more shocking today was Clark Kellog watching replays of supposed fouls on MD wondering where the foul was. Normally, you hear announcers either just start making up stuff to explain the call, or just ignore it. Special K brought it up on more than one occassion. MD had no shot of winning that game, which of course makes some of the calls even more ridiculous. But Duke has a reputation and so the refs tend to give them the benefit of the doubt. It can be frustrating to watch, but what sporting even have you seen lately where you were able to just enjoy the game and not wonder what game the refs were watching.
