We can afford one loss, as long as we beat both Duke and UNC. But then we'd have to win one or two in the ACC tourney. We have no quality wins, unless you consider NC State.

The way this team has played there is no guaranteed wins.
They dont have any quality wins, but they dont have any quality losses.
Theyll be better next year, I consider this year Turgeon's first year, basically all last year were players he inherited. He is slowly getting his type players in and I really see this team becoming a top 20 team every year soon.
If this team had one guard that could be relied upon to make a shot, the team as a whole would be much much better. I'm really disappointed in Dez Wells. I thought he'd be much better. Howard and Faust have been flaming garbage, too. How do guys like these end up as 4 star recruits?
I think Wells has been fairly solid. Perhaps he could score more but he has been excellent at driving to the rim and is the only guy who can create his own shot really. He has been bad at the free throw line and turns the ball over too much though.
I can't defend Nick Faust though. Dude is seriously trash. For someone who was touted as a great shooter coming out of high school he is really terrible. All one needs to do is look at his shooting motion to know he is off. Plus he has the worst ball handling on the team. To me he is a bad player. His only saving grace is being able to slash well. Howard is coming off a torn ACL but yeah, he's pretty crappy too.
And let's not forget Alex Len. He has taken a step backward this year. When I hear top 5 pick discussion I laugh. He can't take over a game, he gets bodied by stronger centers, and disappears when he gets double teamed. He's not a very good player, much less a great player.
I also have expected more from Cleare. He looks out of shape and has no post game. Charles Mitchell, however, has looked very good. And Layman has shown flashes. Same with Seth Allen. Just need a PG real bad. Hope Roddy Peters is ready to come in and do his thing. Then we got Romelo Trimble in 2014. So at least we have some help coming.
Len has not dominated, but he has certainly taken big steps forward this year. He could barely get on the court last year, too weak. We've seen huge improvement from him.
The biggest reason he can't dominate is because of Pe'shon, Faust, and Seth Allen.
What would A World Without Lawyers be like?
I do not have any expectations of them getting into the NCAA tourney. I just want them to play hard, hopefully make the NIT (not a given) and just get as much experience under their belt as possible for next year.
I don't think the problem is a guard who can shoot. We have shooters on the team. Problem is, we don't have a reliable PG to handle the ball. We turn the ball over WAY too much. I'd take a PG who can dish and handle the rock without turning it over to someone who can shoot.

What's next? Looking ahead to Maryland's 2014 football recruiting class
Wednesday was fun, huh? Hectic, active, and ultimately rewarding, it was the most exciting and most productive Signing Day for Maryland football in years. But if it left you at the end of the day asking "Now what?", well, we've got you covered.
Such is the life of a football coach, where the recruiting never stops and the fan expectations never stop rising. But Randy Edsall and Mike Locksley aren't likely to complain, after pulling in their second top-40 class in two years, both buoyed by strong, unexpected back-end finishes. Maryland's lackluster (and lacking in luck) showing on the field last year torpedoed their momentum from the 2012 class, but they built it back up last class and find themselves poised once again for a big showing in a talent-laden 2014 group.
How talent-laden? Looking at 247's early class rankings, really talent-laden. Like, the #1 prospect in the country, the #2 offensive lineman in the country, and the #3 cornerback in the country all residing a stone's throw from Maryland's campus talent-laden. Oh, plus another seven locals in the top 200. And that doesn't count the significant depth throughout the class, which rivals 2012 for the best local group in recent memory. This is quite a group.
Edsall took a wrong turn in Florida on a recruiting trip recently. A car pulled up behind him and on the side of him in a bad neighborhood and started chasing him. He had to call 911 to get a cop to where he was to scare off the other cars. The man is risking his life to recruit!
UMD stickin with Duke so far. Even with all the TOs and Curry hitting every shot he throws up.
