Not a fan of 2 of the recent moves: Kirk Cousins?
Nothing against him as prospect but why draft another QB in the same draft as your franchise QB?
I don't understand the logic behind that choice at all.
Then when you look at the talent that could've helped immediately if not start that was still on the board
when they picked Cousins...I don't get it....

Another decision that bothered me was trading with the Steelers when Alameda Ta'amu was sitting right there.
We run the same defense as the Steelers and they steelers defense is much better then ours.
Yet we let them trade up then select a player that can contribute right away for their defense.
There should be a standing draft day rule in Ashburn: never trade with a team that is historically better at drafting then you are.

And there goes Moseley. Our division rivals keep taking guys I like. That annoys me.

Interesting. I like him more as FS prospect than a corner TBH. May I ask why the reticence?

Probably the off the field and character concerns associated with him

Couldn't agree more dg, although I really like the Robinson pick. Save for I was hoping he'd go a round lower. Quality depth, but we could of done way better with both 4th's.

    Hail.

Yeah, the phrase "high opinion of himself" keep coming up with him. I really don't like that. Also, his rise came during the Shrine practices, and I heard that the reason for that was that he was jumping routes and picking off passes. So, it really wasn't as much his cover skills as his being able to guess what a drill was going to do.

That said, if we took him in the 5th I guess I wouldn't hate it as much. Was more worried about him earlier.

I can appreciate that. normally wouldn't argue, but we desperately need to do something at safety, and there's little natural safety 'talent' left.

I don't really care for the Robinson pick at this point of the draft, we should have done better than a 6th for the trade with the Steelers or stood pat.

Robinson really looks much to thin to play the middle in our 3-4 scheme, and he wont sniff the field on the outside, hope it works out but not in love with the pick.

I really like Markelle Martin and Kelcie McCray is a nice sleeper. Iloka is still out there, too, more at SS. I'm not as high on Antonio Allen or Philip Thomas as others are, but they're still out there. There's really more S talent available now that I would have expected.

And there goes Childs. Really good value at this point.

All the drafts gurus on here bashing picks, lol. Shanahan and co. are far more experienced at finding NFL talent than anyone posting on ES.

That being said, our rivals seem to be getting all the players I like. Oh well. Shanny has his reasons I'm sure.
I like the Cousins move though. QB has been a glaring hole forever. Can't have too much young talent at QB.

Don't have anything against Robinson from what I've read but haven't watched him specifically
(For those that have is he a more of a thumper or a coverage?)

..but man o man scatching my head...on the other pick...kinda went crazy for a little while...
the steelers taking Ta'aamy was like a kick in the teeth

I agree 100%. I'm not actually watching the draft, but when I found out Cousins was picked, I was so irritated. A backup QB is the least of this team's needs and there were so many guys available in the fourth that could have made an immediate impact. Besides drafting Griffin, I'm not a fan at all of this draft, but I do hope they turn out to be home run picks.
