What is with corner routes in this game?

I played the Cowboys a couple nights ago, some guy lined Dez/WR attached to LOS, ran corner route with Dez, and without fail it turned Josh Wilson around every single time.

Just finished a game against the Eagles, and apparently Celek running a corner route can beat Landry every single time.

Running 1/3's with Wilson, and Man with Landry.

Anyone else having this trouble? I used to always pick this route, now it's killing me.



Also has anyone faced the infamous cover 0 blitz/press coverage against this Redskins team? It's miserable. Logically I call max bro, send Tana on post routes, but of course the game won't let John Beck complete more than 30% of his down field passes to wide open WRs.

Anyone else having this trouble? I used to always pick this route, now it's killing me.

Zones to sidelines and quick user reactions help. I haven't played an online game in a while but the last time I saw a guy lean heavily on those routes was with the Falcons (Jones and White are pretty difficult to stop on those plays) and I still picked him off about 6 times just by cutting hard with the CB. The guy was no slouch, either.

Your best option is to go to your inside targets. Putting a slot receiver or TE on a streak and directing the throw short and inside will get you pretty consistent ball placement and will usually put your receiver in a spot where he shields out the defender in most coverages. Blitz heavy defenses should be damn easy to tear apart once you've seen how they prefer to attack you. I have a harder time against 3-man rushes because most teams have guys that can easily win one-on-one battles against the Skins OL and the blocking AI blows.

That's what I used to do, but on this particular Cowboys play Wilson was getting turned around so I'd switch to him expecting him to be facing the QB and direct him accordingly, but instead he'd have his back to the sideline and I'd completely botch the play.

I'll try it out, I'm always scared of the infamous random LB INT on those short throws going against man coverage. Lately I've been lining up 2 WRs to the left and send Davis (attached to the los) on a slant hot route going outside. Pretty beastly.

As far as the 3 man pass-rushes are concerned, I generally try to bead this people with pump-draw out of skins normal, or draw out of a spread formation. Assuming they have NB's and Dime backs on the field.

I have faced the corner route issue.
But there are some good zones that I use where I back up the coverage then move the safeties back to normal position.
