I'm sure they have made that money back many times over since then in tax revenue.

If I lived in New Jersey and the sidewalk in front of my kid's school was crumbling or the air conditining in the school was faulty, I'd be pissed.

But I don't live in Noo Joisey, so I'm happy.
“I just wanted to say to the fans … in D.C. and across the nation, they’ve been great for us, cheering us on. At away games they show up in the masses and at home they really made it feel like a home-field advantage. We said this when I was in college, ‘We got a chance to sit at the dinner table and experience success and it was a good meal. But now we want to go back to get dessert.’ We’ll be ready to get dessert next year.”

I'm asking a serious question here, what's the difference between this and using a couple hundred million dollars to help fund a new sports stadium?

I'm not defending New Jersey, just wondering in what ways would this be different?

You can bet that this all boils down to a mafia racket, just like the urban renewal construction projects in Newark. I bet at least half that $ went to the DeCavalcante family.

I suspect that show generates lots of tourist dollars. While it might seem wonky on the surface, this is probably good business.

You no think that there'll be at least 4,200 people who come to the various Jersey beaches and spend $100 each? Between gas, beach passes, hotels, food, entertainment, shopping the net benefit to New Jersey probably dwarfs that $420K.

I would think they have made that money back 10-20xx over off of those idiots.

Agreed, I'm guessing they've made their money back several times over.

I'm opposed to both of them.

    Wise investment.

The show is funny, stupid, and often entertaining. I don't watch it really, but I catch it from time to time.

Real World DC brought in tourism. It's worth it to boost the economy.

    Thanks for the sig LCSF

But will that money go back to the taxpayers?
