Listen man, I understand the reasoning behind your logic. However, you don't start a "winning culture" with a 30 year old reject behind center. You can spin that however you like, the bottom line is that QB play has been is THE biggest reason why we've only made the playoffs THREE times since 1992 (that's a tough pill to swallow isn't it?).

How about we suck this year, grab the future QB in 2012, continue rebuilding with ample draft picks, then start the winning culture around the most important position on the team. I like that idea MUCH BETTER than finishing at a "feel good" 7-9 with Rex Grossman. I'd gladly taken a 4-12 if Griffin III is here to pave a better future with our other drafted talent around him.

That's blatantly wrong. The biggest reason is Vinny Cerrato overpaying dud free agents and drafting horribly.

Amazing the number of people who are firmly convinced that this year's draft has three Brett Favres, and that no one else in the draft can possibly win anything.

It's not just that. It's that this team needs a franchise QB and it's painfully obvious. They can't afford to take a project.

This. I don't want another Jason Campbell. I don't want another "Oh, he's only had two full seasons in this offense. The development hasn't come to fruition just yet..."

I want a winner. I want a guy with the swagger of an adept quarterback and a true leader in the locker room. The top 3 guys seem to have what it takes. Get one of them.

But what can you do? We won. It happened. We don't have control over these things so as fans we might as well be pragmatic about our situation as it is unfolding. There is a negative aspect to winning this game, sure. We all understand that. But there are positives too...and since we won the game and no one I know owns Doc Brown's Delorean, we might as well focus on where we go from 5-9.

I promise that someone will draft a QB in 2012 outside of the top-5 who will contribute to winning seasons, playoff berths, etc. for that team. Hopefully it is the Redskins.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

That depends more on talent evaluation than simple draft position. Aaron Rodgers was picked after Campbell (around 22 or so).

Where was Ben Roethlisberger picked? 12 or 13 right?

From the looks of our last draft, I'd say we've upgraded our talent evalution.

    Thank you!

I don't want to hear anybody trying to sell me on Tannenhill, Cousins, or Foles as a nice "2nd tier option" because we finished 7-9. We don't need anymore projects around here.....we need a guy who has the talent and intangibles to start DAY 1; (Luck, Griffin III, Barkley OR BUST!!)

Stand pat where we are and do not trade our draft to move to 1! We need ot draft OL as well as CB! Our 2nd and 3rd round pick will be an immense help with upgrading those positions.

rodgers was taken one spot in front of jason campbell. But with the top quarterback of that year being alex smith, i think it still proves the point. Alex Smith has been serviceable but I dont think anyone thinks he is amazing

LMAO at you guys who think we are drafting that high! 7-9 is a succinct possibility - and one I'd rather achieve. When you have a truly good teem - and we do; QB is not such a glaring need. Shanny will not trade the farm for one player. NO GOOD COACH WILL.

Winning does feel good. I was on the Suck for Luck bandwagon but I do think winning the last two games would be big. Winning with Helu, Royster, Smith, Hurt, Polumbus, and Paulsen would make the future seem brighter than I thought on offense.

I absolutely could not be more pleased than with the development of our young OL. Smith, "Heather" Lockner, Hurt, who the hell are these guys and who forgot to tell them that were going to get owned by the Giants D???? They are playing some very impressive football. After Skins went up 17-0 we went on cruse control and made no real effort to score after that.

Seemingly, whomever we start at running-back will make the prowbowl next year.

Folks - this is the real football team you have been waiting for......It's ready for prime-time.

Throw in an EXPERIENCED vet, and you got yourselves a contender!

Can you imagine winning out with the line we have that was dominant yesterday. We may have found our new RT for next season. Helu and Royster look great. I think the biggest deff between this year and years past is we are winning with young talent not old vets. These guys will be here for many more years and im very excited we are playing the way we are. And if Shanny wants Luck or RGIII he will trade up for him

Would the 'suck for Luck' crowd truly have been more happy if the team had went to hell in a hand-basket? You guys would really have been happier sitting through a 0-16 season, with a bad over your head? Give it a rest. Some of us fans would like to see a good team before we die.
