I find it somewhat no extremely far fetched that the Sect. of Defense, the Chief of Staff and VP would be put into a room with a bunch of others without more security screening after an event. And him sweating and acting nervous would have drawn suspicion. I was really digging the show until this final episode honestly. And getting brain wave shock treatment screwing up you memory which is coming is just dumb IMO. They kept you on edge and it was a good season, but the finale much like 24 had trouble keeping up while trying to go over the top with drama.

I am about to watch Dexter finale at lunch and I have a bad feeling from the previews I am about to experience this all over again.

This show was on the precipice of being great in the finale, and then it crapped the bed in one second. It could've gone where no TV show went before, but since they have to milk this thing for multiple seasons they drifted into the realm of lame.

I watched them both last night and while the writing in Dexter this season has led to some logic holes, I got what I wanted out of the finale, even if it was messy getting there.

Homeland is now just another pedestrian show in my opinion. I was right along with you this season wondering what happened next, but now I find myself not caring.

I agree the finale was pretty lame; it left me with TV blue balls.

They should have gone the "other" way; it would have been very compelling.

90 minutes of absolutely nothing. That was a lame finale. They are going to drag the Brody storyline for another season ..... Stupid.

The writing on this show is incredible...and if Claire Danes doesn't win any awards I'll be surprised. This 90 minute finale is going to be one hell of a ride.

Loved Homeland from the get go. It seemed fresh, not too concerned with your typical TV series cliche's and used misdirection just enough to keep you interested and on the edge.

Dragging out the Brody story line however was a big letdown on top of being completely anticlimactic. I feel cheated and not particularly interested to watch yet another season of this silly cat and mouse game to be quite honest.

It seems like a desperate attempt to keep people following the show and screams lack of creativity on behalf of the writers.

I'll give the show a chance to convince me otherwise next season of course, but I'm certainly not sitting there salivating for an encore just yet.
Pearlman writes that Michael Irvin, incensed that tackle Everett McIver, in mid-haircut, would not leave a barber chair at training camp in 1998 so Irvin could get his haircut first, stabbed McIver in the neck. McIver was rushed to the hospital and survived, but not without losing a lot of blood. Irvin's silence on the charge has been deafening. I asked a Cowboy who played on that team if the story was true. "Absolutely,'' the Cowboy said. "I'm surprised it was kept quiet over the years.''

I was pretty satisfied with the finale, and the tension between Brody and Carrie will make for some good episodes in season two.
So who has the memory card? Who is the mole? Season two will be a good one. Btw, Saul sending the guards after Carrie was the best part of the episode.

I'm not reading any of the recent posts, because I have been catching up on the last 6 episodes during xmas time off and am just now seeing the last one of the season. I paused it after Dana called him in the safe room to vent in here. I have really appreciated the tension as it built over the series, and felt the predictable frustration of wanting various things to get resolved quicker than the plotting allows. But I really just felt very let down by the ridiculous and flow-wrecking cheapness of this plot device---to not only pull the old unbelievable "the swtich didn't work", but to do the same ploy again only with this saving phone call at "just the last second."

What a load of BS. I know it allows all kinds of God or fate or values etc stuff that is good material, and I get the obvious---like the show's going to have another season, they likely can't blow the people/lead actor up and so on, but that was a very lame-ass way to go IMO.

Now I will watch the last 25 mins and see if I eat my words.

"I see it, ensign! Engage amygdala! Transfer all power from frontal lobes!

Suspend critical thinking field! Go to course heading of reflexive response 101 at full bias!
    Now!'Enter' at will!"

"It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so."

You will not eat your words. The last episode was terribly disappointing, particularly since the rest of the first season was so great.

    Still hungry.

I could see the plotline going that direction (as I indicated) as well as others, and of course not having dude go through with it (as one would usually assume he couldn't have if the show was to develop along the lines of 99% of similar fare before it), but those plot devices were just what I thought--especially devaluing of otherwise fine effort. Pathetic that they went with the "last minute save", let alone tow of them in a row! There's more of the success/fail I could discuss but am obviously fixated right now on the stunning stupidity of that move. Cripes. How does that get past a whole room of professionals?

I thought Brody was going to go through with it because the show was so promising and so different. Oh well, there's always Boardwalk Empire. I'll probably tune in next season, but the writers screwed up.

Can't wait for this season to start. I wonder who has the memory card.....guess they will drag that out for a few episodes.

Looks pretty interesting. Showtime has been spamming ads for this show before and after Strike Back, so I'm gonna check it out.

I dont want to read the thread for fear of spoilers. Is this show any good? I worry its a cliche 24 or West Wing knock off. I'm looking for another good series to catch through boxee and had considered this one.
