I was there last nite and it didnt look as bad as people are saying.

Sure we got out shot, big time but our defense and even Vokun who I have been down on really stepped up to counter our lack of offense.

I do agree that we still have ALOT of work to do but things are looking up, we just have to get some more consistent play from our top stars, and I think we will be ok.

Now I do not see this team going anywhere in the playoffs but I definetly think we will be in, and then need to do some serious overhaul work with our team, like dropping green, dropping either neuvy or vokun, brining in holtby, etc.

I'm curious. If Green comes back in 4-6 weeks, plays well for the rest of the season/playoffs, would everyone still want him gone? I'm curious how he will respond to this surgery. His concussion history is certainly worrisome in addition to his other ailments.

This team is playing pretty well defensively. When you're incapable of sustaining any offensive zone pressure, you can expect the shots on goal to be lopsided, regardless of how well we play in the defensive zone. While I'm far from satisfied with the Capitals' play of late, I definitely think they'll improve as they become more comfortable with DH. The only teams that truly scare me in the East are NYR, Boston, and the Flyers. I think we're capable of beating anyone else, though we're also capable of losing. I think we make the second round this season if we hold on to the 3rd spot.
