We traded Varlomov, I doubt they trade Neuvirth because Vokoun isn't exactly young. Looks like DH is riding the veteran.
Redskins 2013 Opponents:
Home- Dallas, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, Kansas City, San Diego
Away- Dallas, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Green Bay, Minnesota, Atlanta, Denver, Oakland
I much rather DH ride one goalie he likes then the back-and-forth that Gabby was pulling before he got fired.
If they re-sign Vokoun (which isn't out of the realm of possibility if he does well and gets them deep in the playoffs), then either Neuvy or Holtby must go. Wouldn't be surprised if they try and renegotiate the contract before pulling a goalie trade, but that very well could be happening as we speak. Besides, we can't keep both Holtby and Neuvy forever. One of them will ultimately get traded.

I do not see Vokun coming back next year....the only way it happens is with a Stanley Cup appearance....like the above said anything other than that and we do not have the room for someone as expensize as him with IMO inconsistent erratic play.
No matter what I see a kind of overhaul to our roster anyway....Mike Green, and Semin will probably be gone next year.
I hope they play good again tonite....we need to go on a run to cement ourselves in a playoff spot so that we have a cushion.
BTW anyone see Barry Melroses comments tonite on NHL network about the Caps? Says he doesnt like watching the team anymore cause we dont shoot the puck anymore and dont score alot of goals...sure that style of play was exciting but it got us outsted out of the playoffs early, something needed to change I thought ole Mullett man would be bale to see that.

seems like another sloppy "don't give a ****" day

I don't even look up from my phone anymore when I hear the phrase, "Mike Knuble on the doorstep".

I kinda agree with him that it's boring hockey. It's one thing to play better defense but the amount of shots and scoring chances is very low these days. It's been six full games since the Caps had more than 24 shots on goal and tonight through two periods the Caps are being out shot again by 25-15.
Very sloppy play tonight. They look hungover or something. Terrible.
More Complete
Eakin looked pretty good out there in his last couple shifts.
It always amazing me to see sorry effort by professionals. It wasn't the entire time, but it really was sloppy and only 22 shots on goal including just 7 in the last period when down by 2.
Chalk up another "i dont give a **** game." This is getting to be just awful. Must have too many Redskin fans weighing down this caps bandwagon.
