FWIW, I still don't see the appeal of 4G in 99% of situations. Only reason it would be useful for me is for high quality streaming of my Slingbox from home - which would be awesome.

However, since there is no longer unlimited data - this would just cause me to eat up all of my data allowance at an even quicker rate.

ummmm because 4G is faster? I love my 4G phone- I have a Motorola Atrix, and my only complaint is the battery life. It is crazy fast, though, and that is a big deal to me.

If you are on Verizon how come you don't have unlimited data? I was able to renew my contract for another 2 years with the iPhone 4S purchase and keep the $29.99 email and unlimited data.

I get that, although I don't quite understand the huge benefit of a page loading in 2 milliseconds as opposed to 1 second. I'm sure I'll love it once I have it, but as of now the only thing it would allow me to do would be to sling my tv to my phone in higher quality - basically getting me to use more data.

No carrier has real 4G. That's why we the marketing has turned to LTE, a 4G candidate, that almost meets 4G requirements and is expected to do so in the future.
