exactly. Plus, based on what he's done the past 4 years, we have an idea. Recovery, slow growth, responsible foreign policy moves.

What we don'tknow are Romney's policies. Because he won't tell us much about himself. Will get go back to W's policies? No? Then what will be different? Paul Ryan won't discuss budget details until after the election.

Bryan Fischer Of American Family Association Slams Mitt Romney's 'Lackluster Campaign'

WASHINGTON -- Bryan Fischer, of the American Family Association, a conservative Christian group, slammed Mitt Romney on Friday for running a “lackluster campaign” void of any ideas and accused the campaign of “putting a bag over” vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan’s head.

“Mitt Romney right now should be leading by 10 or 15 points and the fact that he’s not is Mitt Romney’s problem,” Fischer told reporters at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C. “It’s because he’s running such a lackluster campaign that has been so vague on ideas. What plan is he offering the American people?”

The host of the talk radio show "Focal Point" went on to say that the Republican Party’s conservative base lit up upon Ryan’s appointment to the presidential ticket. But instead of embracing the Wisconsin congressman’s vision and ideas, the Romney campaign chose to “put a sock in Paul Ryan’s mouth.”

“The biggest mistake is they put a bag over Paul Ryan’s head,” Fischer said, responding to a question from The Huffington Post on where the Romney campaign had gone wrong. “That’s the biggest mistake they made -- they put a sock in Paul Ryan’s mouth.

My father and grandmother probably don't have proper ID to vote. I think both would vote R if they could, and even knowing that and being the liberal that I am, I still want their vote to count. Call me...liberal.

ABO is about as useful a campaign strategy or political plan as ABB was.

    Yet it worked right?

Obama sure as hell did not get elected on his merits or record

    Anyone But Bush worked?

Not as far as I am concerned. Kerry was smoked. McCain v. Obama was much deeper than ABB.

If I remember correctly it was John Ashcroft who was into being anointed.

    You keep thinking that.

McCain had a pretty decent shot. He wasn't moderate by any means, but he was seen as a sane Republican who looked to be a breath of fresh air from George W. Bush. And then he surrounded himself with the same people who had been advising Bush, showed a fundamental lack of understanding about how to fix the economy, ramped up the war mongering at a time when the country was completely exhausted and tired of war. And then there was Sarah Palin.

McCain lost himself the election, for the same reason Mitt's probably going to lose; he came in looking like a "maverick", and then showed himself to be anything but. Just like Mitt, the Republican base (somehow) viewed him as too liberal and didn't like him, and so he pandered heavily to the base, which alienated the middle of the electorate and fired up the left.

Love it or hate it, people liked Obama's ideas and ideals more than McCain's.

But keep pretending your party doesn't keep ****ing up winnable elections by appealing strictly to the crazies.

    How about Mittens the Practical?

Which, in today's GOP, makes him a maverick. And, a soon-to-be-ex-Republican.
