I dont know. i do want to say that I'm not trying to come off as condescending or making fun of anyone with my last response.. but I find polls to be to easily manipulated to give a true picture very often. It's hard to buy .. unfortunately, so many of our supposed truth gathering organizations are compromised that it's probably jaded me beyond repair.

I think a lot of advertisers and television executives have a lot invested in making the race close and manipulating the public opinion into thinking things are a nailbiter.
    Ratings control truth.

I think what Romney said in his embarrassing little speech to his donors last spring is true, and it's true to both sides, (not the "everyone is a moocher" part... but the percentage of people who aren't changing their minds.)
I think it's mostly a contest of which side can coax the most of their backers to get up and go vote.
the republicans are pretty good at that.

‘Friday Night Lights’ Creator Accuses Romney of Plagiarism

    http://xfinity.comcast.net/blogs/tv/...of-plagiarism/

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The creator of TV’s “Friday Night Lights” is accusing Mitt Romney of plagiarizing a phrase from the show to use as a campaign slogan.
Peter Berg wrote a letter to Romney on Friday saying he’s “not thrilled” that the Republican presidential candidate is using the phrase “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose” on campaign posters and his Facebook page.

On the TV show, a small-town Texas football coach uses the phrase to inspire his players before taking the field.

Berg’s agent distributed the letter to the media. In it, the writer-director-actor says Romney’s politics and campaign aren’t aligned with the themes of the TV series.

Berg goes on to thank the governor for supporting the show but says, “Please come up with your own campaign slogan.”

The Romney campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
There's another negative poll-swing of at least 3 points for Sticky Mitts.

Well, they should feel a sense of ownership in his success.

lol Do you really believe that the first debate is going to give Romney a huge surge? Historically debates barely move the numbers at all.
I said the same thing about this and referenced the Mondale debate but the needle has shifted considerably.
I think because of the debate and because we switched from Registered to Likey voters and http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...ago_today.html

if you take out the 13% democrat extra put in before and add the 9% republican now.. it's probably worse than even those polls show.
Disclaimer: I was off by about 200 points in the last election.

Maybe, but Big Bird worked for his money. Mittens made his money by investing it and letting others make decisions and perform due dilligence with what to do with it.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — As GOP vice-presidential nominee Paul Ryan stumps across battleground states, conservatives flock to see him — and not just because they believe that he and his running mate are on the verge of booting Barack Obama out of the White House.

For people such as Joy Chickonoski, it is also because they believe that, win or lose, the 42-year-old Wisconsin congressman offers a glimpse of the Republican future.

Whether next January finds Ryan moving into the vice president’s residence at the Naval Observatory or back sleeping in his office on Capitol Hill, “he needs to continue to do what he does best and just trust that his gifts will make room for him, where he needs to be,” said Chickonoski, a pastor from the nearby town of Poland who came to see Ryan on Saturday at Youngstown State University.
Well, what do you guys think? Paul Ryan 2016 (should Mitt Romney lose in November)?

I don't think he makes it. He wasn't dynamic enough at the RNC or in his debate to
become "the guy." In reality, Palin was much more of a sensation. He could do it because Republicans are a party of sucession and the second and third place guys from the primaries don't feel like heirs in waiting, but I think it will be someone else.

Interestingly, I think Rand Paul might be intriguing to a lot of conservatives at that point.

Perhaps... she's such a good figure though for the Repubs and the brightest symbol of what they really stand for.
