Interesting tidbit from a nytimes article:

Many Republicans follow the more fiscally conservative University of Chicago School, which argues that Keynesian stimulus can’t heal a sick economy — only time can. Chicagoans believe that economies can only truly recover on their own and that policy interventions only slow the recovery. It’s a puzzle of modern politics that Republicans have had electoral success with a policy that fundamentally asserts there is nothing the government can do to create jobs any time soon.

Ryan is on a roll lately!

Today's locker room laugh from practice was hearing how Paul Ryan looked Colt McCoy dead in the eye & said "great job at Oklahoma State"

Well, there's no shortage of chutzpah.

Yahoo: Romney: Obama ‘running on fumes’ instead of policies

CHESAPEAKE, Va.—Mitt Romney slammed President Barack Obama for not offering more details about his second-term agenda in Tuesday night's debate, telling voters here on Wednesday that his opponent has focused on attacking GOP proposals instead of explaining his own policies.

"He can't even explain what he's done in the past four years. He's spent most of his time talking about how my plan won't work. Well, what about his plan?" Romney said at a rally held on the ground of a local community college here. "It's clear when it comes to his policies, his answers and his agenda, he's pretty much running on fumes."

Again and again, Romney slammed Obama for not presenting a clearer plan for what he would do if re-elected. Pointing out that next Monday's debate in Boca Raton, Fla., will be their last face-off before Election Day, Romney suggested Obama has only a few more days to present his second-term agenda to the country.

"He's got to come up with that over the weekend," Romney said.

The irony of Mitt Romney trying to run a campaign on "Obama doesn't give enough specifics on his plans!" would be funny if it wasn't kind of stupid and sad.

To be fair, the President really hasn't at all during his first term either

Funny. I was under the impression that Obama's signature piece of legislation had been written into actual legislation, passed, signed, and is being implemented. Sounds to me like that's some pretty detailed specifics.

I was also under the impression that he's submitted a few specific, detailed, budget requests.

And made a proposal on how to avoid at least part of the fiscal claiff. It passed the Senate (with every single Republican voting against it), and the House won't schedule a vote on it.

    That's at least some details.

But you see, the Democrats and the Republicans are secretely all the same. There's virtually no difference between them.

We're screwed no matter who we vote for, and the only guy who could've solved all our problems in a heartbeat was the left out independent.
