Yes, from Colonel Wayne Powell. I have not seen any official polls, but as I said before, being a resident of Cantor 7th district & judging by the feedback on local media forums and yard signs combined with Cantors last minute commercial blitz is a good indicator things are not going as smoothly for Eric as he might have hoped.
It isn't uncommon for losers in elections to spend the last week and days in big states they end up losing and trailing in at the polls at the time.
McCain and Palin spent the last week in OH and PA both states they were behing in at the time.
And even spent a good amount of time in strong Democratic areas:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/hor...pennsylva.html
"What is interesting is that some of McCain-Palin's time has been spent in Democratic strongholds. For sure, McCain has made appearances in Defiance, a GOP stronghold in the northwest, and Lancaster, a GOP bastion in metro Columbus. However, there have been visits to blue-collar Democratic areas like Toledo, Elyria, and Steubenville. These are the kinds of places John Kerry was visiting at this point in the cycle in 2004. McCain-Palin has also hit several swing areas - Mentor (in metro Cleveland), Dayton, and Hanoverton (just south of Canton on I-77). "
And as that piece indicates, Kerry spent his last weeks in OH a state he was trailing in at the time and would end up losing.
Why?
Because they've come to realize they need something big and drastic to win the race so they go to big states that they are trailing. If you can flip a big state where you are behind that can turn an election.
The flip side is the winner tends to spend time in states he's ahead in, but they are a llittle worried about.
What this would suggest is that they've decided that a state like CO, which most people think is really a toss up and its 9 electoral votes, isn't enough electoral votes to win. They NEED more. They need to turn a BIG blue states.
It is kind of a like a football game. Towards the end of a game, if you didn't know much about football, you might expect the team that's moving the ball and throwing it all over the place has a big lead and the defense that doesn't look good and is allowing the other team to complete lot's of passes in front them and rack up those completions and yards is losing.
A lot of times though, you'd be wrong.

I'm dreading waking up Wednesday and seeing an Obama victory. IMO, we would officially be the dumbest nation on the face of the earth to give this president another 4 years.

We already took that mantle in 2004 when we elected Bush for a second term.
How do people feel about the ad that Romney put out today about Obama suggesting he wants people to vote for revenge
Maddow agreed with this last night but also gave another reason: because if you're going to talk the talk about being ahead you need to walk the walk also. You need a rationale to explain how your internal polls showing your guy ahead are actually right while all the "independent" polls are wrong (she cited McCain examples which were a lot like Romney's), and follow that up with an "expanding the map" storyline about a surge in Democratic strongholds. If you stay in the battleground states it will be an admission that you know you're in trouble.
I'm well past the point where I have the same feelings, only about Romney winning and "conservatives" /republicans overall. I'd just add "nuts" and some other negative terms to the "dumb."
I sincerely hope they (GOP) are rejected (understatement), but will be mentally/emotionally prepared if not.

I'd vote for Revenge. I dig Emily VanCamp and, embarrassingly enough, the whole silly show.

Obama is a likeable guy, but horrendous leader IMO Jumbo. You're obviously a very bright person - my brother is an Obama guy too, who is also extremely intelligent (Stanford & West Point)
I just don't see the allure of him at all. I'm very worried about the future of this country with Obama at the helm.

The reason why Obama says vote for revenge according to some articles that i have read is that people begin booing once Obama mentioned Romney. He basically said that if you dont want him to be President, then you should go out and vote and that can be our revenge
