But maybe changing the message, or the tone of the message, would be more effective than trying to ram it down my throat. This is an affluent, well educated part of the state. Ranting about how much Mitt really loves America, and just making **** up is worse than saying nothing at all.

I got a Romney door hanger on my door today. I guess they didn't see the Obama sign in my yard, big as life.

Ryan says Obama compromises Judeo-Christian values

In a telephone call with evangelical voters Sunday night, U.S. Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan told potential voters that President Barack Obama's path for the United States compromises Judeo-Christian values.

The comment came during the final sprint for the U.S. election on Tuesday. Speaking to the Faith and Freedom Coalition, a leading group of Christian conservatives, Ryan attacked Obama's vision in stark terms.

"It's a dangerous path," Ryan said of Obama's plan for the United States. "It's a path that grows government, restricts freedom and liberty, and compromises those values, those Judeo-Christian, Western civilization values that made us such a great and exceptional nation in the first place."

"Captain, it's a viewpoint--not one of ours! We're under attack!"

"I see it, ensign! Engage amygdala! Transfer all power from frontal lobes!

Suspend critical thinking field! Go to course heading of reflexive response 101 at full bias!
    Now!'Enter' at will!"

"It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so."

I love it when the differing religious factions like Catholics, Baptists, Lutherans and all the rest of the fundamentalist Christian sects who can't stand each other on a daily basis come together in an orgy of hate every 2 to 4 years to try to push their woman-enjoying-sex-for-sex's-sake and trying to put everyone into their defined little box. And calling it an affront to the "...Judeo-Christian, Western civilization values that made us such a great and exceptional nation in the first place." Why they even swallowed their collective bile against Mormons by nominating Romney.

They know they are losing, so Lyin' Ryan and Prevaricating Romney are ratcheting up the rabid right's hate for women, homosexuals and everyone who is not a WASPy man like themselves.

Ryan says Obama compromises Judeo-Christian values

    I like this part:

Asked for comment on Ryan's remarks, a Ryan spokesman said he was "talking about issues like religious liberty and Obamacare, topics he has mentioned frequently during the campaign."

So universal healthcare goes against Judeo-Christian values?

Yep, Lyin' Ryan. Obama's policy "restricts freedom and liberty". It's a blatant lie. What does he think a National Personhood Amendment does?

I'd disagree about the President. Obama extended the Patriot Act and signed the NDAA, which included section 1021, which allows the government to detain any person suspected of being a terrorist indefinitely and without trial.

The fact of the matter is neither party, and neither candidate, has a solid commitment to extend civil liberties for Americans.

Be careful with that. There was an article about some lady in Leesburg who had hers set on fire in the middle of the night. One of those big eight foot by four foot plastic types. Of course, her's was a Romney sign, so maybe you're in the clear.

Point taken, & I disagree with the Patriot Act completely. It's one thing to "check out chatter" and quite another to spy on citizens with no warrant (meaning, reason) to do so.

As do I, and I foresee its continued expansion regardless of who's in power. We gave up a huge chunk of our liberty after 9/11 out of fear. We traded real freedom for the illusion of safety. I don't think we're ever getting it back and we only have ourselves to blame.

I say hold a public hanging after the election and execute them.
They'd kill all the women and make us all slaves anyway, right?

This is why I voted for Gary Johnson two weeks ago. Say what you will about the man, but he, along with Rocky Anderson and Jill Stein, are providing innovative solutions to improve our economy, vow to bring our troops back home from our dead end wars in the Middle East and are taking a hard line stance for our civil liberties. Obama and Romney? Not so much.

I will say again, though, that between Romney and Obama, Romney offends my senses more. The man will say *anything* to get elected and despite his impressive track record as governor of Massachusetts, he is a charlatan.

He is Henry Hill and the GOP is River City.

All I can say about Romney is that I trust the guy as far as I can throw him. I don't think he gives 2 craps about the American people and is only running for POTUS b/c, if by chance he wins, it's just another notch on his resume. I've said it before- he comes across as a used car salesman or a televangelist. All talk and no substance.
