I actually have a 360 this time so I can get the game on time and try it out.
It's still too early to know what's even in the game, what the multiplayer will be like, who the people are in the game...Rockstar is being very quiet.![]()

I remember coming across an article on the wanted level system, as well as a few other nuances about a month or so ago. Seems as if your ability to speed will be limited this time around, and I think the Army/FBI is coming back. There was also something else that was retarded about the wanted system that I forgot about. Seems like there may still be that element of realism (in certain areas) that, even after GTA IV, they aren't willing to back down from. I think the old days of the complete and utter mayhem style of gameplay are long gone. Hopefully they at least bring it in the weapons department this time around.
Damn, Nov 3, 2011 before this bump..
I think this is the article
And the portion of the article that discusses the wanted levelThere is already a buttload of rumors and info regarding the game floating around out there. The most reliable rumor is the size of the game. GTA V will once again take gamers to Los Santos, but this time they can expect an even larger sandbox to play in. Dan Houser, the President of creativity at Rockstar Games, confirmed the enormous map size in a Game Informer interview from January. The size of the new map is up for debate, with some sites predicting it will be 1.5 times larger and others, like IGN, predicting that the map will be FIVE times larger and, in classic GTA fashion, split into three maps.
Along with map size, a story summary is also making the rounds in the "credible rumor" scene. The protagonist's name will be Albert De Silva a.k.a. the "rich guy" in the game trailer.
Good thing it's all rumors at this point. They're most likely leaking a few aspects of the game to gauge fan reaction. Maybe they can fix a few things before the release dateOf course, what's a GTA game without wanted level chases? Some details regarding the new wanted level system in GTA V have come out and it looks like Rockstar is upping the ante when it comes to unpredictable, difficult gameplay. Police will do more than just chase you on foot or in vehicles. Riot shields and flash bang grenades are a part of the 5-0's arsenal. There will be radio warnings broadcast about you, your appearance and your location when you reach a 4-star wanted level. The following wanted level breakdown was obtained by IGN:
1 star - police follow you on foot and try to make an arrest. No sirens, no car chases (unless you are speeding).
2 star - police will still attempt to make an arrest. If a weapon is drawn then the police will begin opening fire. Police will use stun guns if a weapon is not drawn.
3 star - Chases begin and the police don't care how they stop you, they just want to do it.
4 star - road traps, radio stations and much more hostile police. Even when you have evaded them, they will still search for 24 in-game hours for someone matching your description.
5 star - shoot to kill, arrest only if it's made very possible. Even when you have evaded them, they will still search for 48 in-game hours for someone matching your description. Few missions become unavailable if you are wanted.
6 star - military vehicles come after you. Even when you have evaded them, they will still search for 72 in-game hours for someone matching your description. Some missions become unavailable if you are wanted.
There will be no end to the rumor mill for GTA V until its official release date, which best guesses put at May of 2013
Jeez those new Wanted Levels are wack.
Yeah, I hope that's rumor. Don't want cops throwing grenades at me
Was thinking about the wanted level...the main character is rich, can't he just buy off the cops![]()
Here is the GI story on GTA V

Apparently there are 3 protagonists in this game, instead of the usual 1. Looks good.
Will report more as I look over the article.
Pretty sure new trailer coming next week.
Looks awesome....really wish they waited till next-gen tho.
This is absolutely amazing. You can finish a mission with one character, switch over to another, and it'll be like a completely new world. I am very excited about this game right now.

Missions will also be dynamic, as in Red Dead Redemption, if you played that. It sounds kind of cool.
The GTA World will also be the largest ever attempted by a GTA game. This is just for assessment purposes, it's not a real map.
It's bigger than RDR land, GTA IV, and GTA San Andreas' map. That is going to be one huge play area.
