He's AT LEAST as much to blame as Paterno.

Is anyone watching the Tom Bradley press conference on ESPN? I can't get it at work but am curious as to what he's saying.

A theory I heard on the radio last night.

Apparently McQuery's family has been clsoe with Sandusky's family for years before he came to Penn State.

Was Mike McQuery a victim of Sandusky when he was a young boy? Is that why he reacted the way he did?

    Just a theory, nothing more

Rome?! Human trafficking is alive and growing right now all over the world and in the US. Pedophile rings are found and taken down regularly as well. Sadly there is no need to search the history books for similar situations.

Maybe they should've fired Bradley as well. For nothing more then the dudes own well being, he should not be allowed to coach for the rest of the season, and that's the minimum course of action for me.

I think the reason McQueary status has not changed is due to the fact he took it to Joe Pa, but didn't have power to do much else. At the time he was a grad student TA and did as much as could. Yes he should have done more, but Joe Pa was the one who could have really stop this. For example, if a whistleblower goes to the Vice President of a company about fraud by the acounting department and the VP does nothing about then the VP is the one in trouble, not the whistleblower.

Oh, don't get me wrong, Paterno deserved to go (sad to say) but so does McQueary.

Madden mentions the "retirement in exchange for a cover up," in 1998... if this is true, than everyone with knowledge needs to face obstruction chargers, and aiding and abbedding charges for everything after that.

Additionally, if the above statement by Madden is true, than isn't it reasonable to assume that McQueary was given a job in exchange for a cover up? In which case, EVERY LAST ONE of these guys needs to spend the rest of their lives in jail.

Tom Bradley is being very very very very careful about what he says. He's mainly responding with "do to the ongoing investigation I won't comment on that". Mike coaching Saturday was not his decision though.

Again, this is why I said documented. Much worse stuff goes on all over the world and has through out history. In this case, there is more than just allegations.

Wow, never thought of it like that. In my mind there is no doubt Sandusky was doing this prior to 1994. He was probably doing it before he founded the second mile charity in 1977, which would mean McQueary would fall in the age range. The only thing is that the common denominator with the victims is that they were all vulnerable youth... low income, single parent types.

    *due, lol/jk

Well, in defense of the McQueary coaching thing, he should be put on Administrative Leave first. They have to be careful about how they do this, because if they fire him the wrong way, with a good lawyer, he can own that school within a few years via lawsuit.

I was thinking the same thing. This is starting to look like a secret everybody seemed to know about. It's also more than a little strange that in 2005 the district attorney was googling how to destroy a lap top / hard drive right before he completely vanished off the face of the earth. His laptop was found in a river and the hard drive was destroyed to the point that even the feds couldn't lift any data from it.

I would feel more comfortable if the FBI took over the investigation at this point.
