And here I was, hoping that the Penn State students would rally to ask for Paterno TO BE fired. As the crimes involved are so despicable--the worst of the worst--and it's the right thing.

At least now I know where I WON'T be going to school Or my kids. This is some sick ****.

Will we see a "Joe Clark" moment tonight where Paterno comes out and tell the kids to settle down and go home.

To be fair, this would be about 1000x worse if it was the Maryland student body.

As long as he doesn't have a Mussolini march on the palace moment and end up as head of the school or something.

We already heard his side....did you read his sworn deposition? That's enough for me.

Unless a story comes out about how he had a gun to his head telling him to keep quiet, I think we've heard everything there is to hear. He didn't do enough.

You Penn State fans keep going on about "oh, he's been coaching for so long so it shouldn't matter!"

    Bull****. And you know it.

I already beat one PSU fan in a "do you know the facts?" argument today. It's not that hard. Most of you guys are 100% oblivious because you don't want to accept it. Well, accept it, 'cause he isn't coming back. The whole country is laughing at you.

Rioting at Penn State! JoePa wants them to stop but he won't call the police.

The support that i have seen over facebook/twitter/espn for the guy is outright appalling.

We'll grind that axe, for a long time!

Have the investigators said anything about actually looking into the role of Paterno, McQeaury, and 2nd Mile? This celebration or opposition of Paterno's is something I find entirely meaningless and reactionary. The role of these people in a possible cover up needs to be investigated fully. From what I've read someone from Penn State alerted 2nd mile of the shower incident... and they cleared him. Who from Penn State did that and who did they tell at 2nd mile. If they felt it was important enough to tell the charity why not the police? If the charity looked into it, what are the details of that and who decided to grant Sandusky access to more children?

I'd like to hear police are looking into that.

Glad to hear people are digging into 2nd mile! As soon as I heard they cleared him that organization has interested me more than Penn State. They provided the victims.

It's looking to me like only PSU fans understand the outrage that is going thru Happy Valley right now. We know he did the wrong thing in this situation, but you must remember that JoePa has done SO much for that entire city. From building a brand new library with his OWN money to literally bringing PSU to the level it is at right now. Every person in that town LOVES this man, and it's easy to see why they are all having trouble coping with this entire situation and how he's been treated. It's kind of like a blind following, almost cultish. But that in no way excuses him from his actions. I am in no way defending those actions either, but more or less defending the school that I love which has now also taken upon criticism.

Like I said, I don't expect most of you to understand but this was predicted by anyone who knows what JoePa means to every PSU fan and alum. Don't let these events give you the wrong idea about PSU as a school or even PSU alums. PSU is still one of the top schools in the nation and these events don't change that. As Nittany Lions we will survive because we are strong, and WE ARE...PENN STATE.
