In this case, the pregame market is very hot right now. If you can get from VTTO I would do it. If not, I wouldn't buy a ticket till we get as close to gametime as possible
Not comparing, but the OB is the only bowl experience I have. There's this know-it-all Tech fan who posts on ES (SFH or something like that) who keeps me well aware of these things

There's a guy on TSL who just posted saying he's a Golden Hokie willing to buy, thought I'd give you a heads up.

I'm leaning towards going but need to figure out how much its going to cost. Flights are pricey.

It's Jim Delany's fault...he's scared of his team losing to Boise. **** him, **** the system, and **** the whole bowl season.

    looking forward to...

-Cincy-Vandy (will be cheering for Franklin...matchup of two good offenses)
-Houston-Penn State (offense vs defense matchup)
    -Stanford-OK State (fireworks)

Kansas State and Arkansas should be a good game, but neither team excites me....

Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10 with priority to season ticket holders. Find some friends still at VT who won't go and offer to buy theirs.

Also, Huly, have a blast at the Orange Bowl! I went last year and minus the second half of the game, my dad and I had a blast. We went to a gator farm and did an airboat ride then walked around the beach all day

Really wish I could go to Nawlins, but Charlotte drained all my money.

    You should be so lucky.

But it's not worth it for me to take a long trip just to witness some turkeys get curbstomped by Denard. If it was a real challenge, I might go.

Sally Jenkins: The Sugar Bowl’s flawed selections this year perfectly underscore the need for change
    Even more infuriating:
According to the lobbying group Playoff Pac, which watchdogs the BCS, the top three Sugar Bowl executives received more than $1.2 million of the game’s revenue of $12.7 million in 2009. Now, the Sugar Bowl is supposedly a nonprofit. Yet Hoolahan and two others skimmed almost $1 off of every $10 the bowl brought in. Hoolahan’s bonus in ’08, the year the Sugar hosted the national championship, was $140,000. In ’09 it was $80,000.

More likely you will be sitting by your conservative hero, Ann Coulter.

VPI is being rewarded for playing in a weak conference, and scheduling this out of conference schedule: Appalachian State, East Carolina, Arkansas State and Marshall.

I have nothing against the Hokies - a ton of my friends went there and I root for them as a matter of course, but get real. There is a reason that everyone in the US (at least everyone outside the VPI community) was surprised by Tech getting in over K-State, and it's not because ESPN pushed Michigan.
Notre Dame always starts in the top 10, just because of their name. If beating ND is your signature win, you arent good. Edit: I just remembered they lost to South Florida.

I really sensed a change in the tone of the ESPN coverage of the BCS selection process this year. I now believe change is coming in the form of a plus 1.

Finally, it is retarded for media figures to complain about a Bowl like the Sugar arbitrarily picking lower ranked teams over higher ranked teams with the whole ranking system is media figures arbitrarily voting on which teams are better. How do you rage against one arbitrary picking system for being wrong by citing another another arbitrary picking system? IT MAKES NO SENSE. THE WORLD HAS GONE MAD!

Actually, destroying a ranked Nebraska team on national tv late in the season was the signature win for Michigan. Just saying.

You are the one that brought up beating Notre Dame like it meant anything. Just saying.

I really have no problem with Michigan or VT getting selected to the Sugar. Like i said, the bowl picked who THEY thought was best, just like the poll voters pick who THEY thought was best. Both groups are just subjectively picking based on the eyeball test.
