I was looking everywhere for this Overall, I thought Rex did a good job. He wasn't perfect, but far from the turnover machine we thought he was gonna be. And considering Trent was out of the game, I was worried he'd have problems, but he hung in there today and I'm proud as all hell

I'll contribute some fuel for the QB fire:

Rex has 20 turnovers (16 interceptions 4 lost fumbles) in 10 starts this season. That's 2 turnovers per game this season. As a redskin he has 27 turnovers (20 interceptions and 7 lost fumbles) in 13 starts. Again we see the 2 turnovers per game.

Of his 13 starts he's had
10 games 2 turnovers or more:
    3 games 1 turnover
    0 game without a turnover

So yes he's gone 13 games with a turnover... but crazier still is that 77% of his starts result in 2 or more turnovers.

In that same time period he has 20 TDs (19 passing 1 rushing). So for those of you that are tempted to think he's looked good lately remember that your lying eyes can't be trusted. I don't care what else he does averaging 2 turnovers per game doesn't generate winning results.

Rex is a TO machine, but what I enjoy is seeing our team play other teams so tough. These game are beginning to prove that we are just a few pieces away from being a decent team. Just give the Shanahans some time.

To be fair, Rex was one freak bobble by Moss away from having a TO-less game. And before that, he was one one PI on Moss away from a TO-less first four quarters, possibly heading into overtime.

I am in no way a Rex supporter.... but alot of those stats are scewed. NO...he def is not the future but I would def like to see his stats if you take away the ones that were blatantly not his fault. Seems like there are at least 5 or 6 of those int's that were deflections. Another couple were from new recievers running wrong routes.....

Like I said...he not long term answer but if Skins get the rest of the pieces together I don't think he is the worst #2 qb u could have. Our WR's have dropped alot and helped the defenses alot this year. Todays last play to santana just one of many.

I thought Rex played well. He scanned the field and didn't throw check down passes ala John Beck.

Rex would be a premier QB is he didn't turn the ball over 2-3x per game.

Rex played a solid game today. There were a couple of times though where I felt he made up his mind on where to go to soon and didn't trust the play to develop. Considering the time he had he could have been a little more patient in those situations.

Here's the best frame in which I can put Rex: he presents fair evidence that even as screwed up as the rest of the offense is in various ways and due to various factors, it could function competitively against even good teams if turnovers were much more limited.

So that means with a QB with even just Rex-level positives (which isn't all that high a standard) but much less turnover prone, and our injury/suspension offensive issues settled going into next year, we'll be major strides ahead even before addressing the line and a #1 wide-out/burner.

Now I'm not sure I want Rex even as a back-up any longer than absolutely necessary, but it may be we need him another year.

Rex was good today, the Oline kept the D out of his face and gave him time to allow downfield situations to evolve, and some of the long bombs were really good, we matched it point for point with the Patriots on the offence only the first td of the game was unanswered by our defence but Rex did well today

Excellent post, and I agree 100% Heaven forbid Shanny skips on a QB this year hoping for Jordan Rodgers (aaron rodgers bro) or something and addresses every other position of need this year on offense....ie/ Big WR and more OL ( i think we cool RB depth), then adding some DL or CB/S depth. If we were to refortify Oline...slightly bolster defensive secondary, at this junction I think we see a marked improvement, with Grossman as Qb. So with a top tier qb draft pick...possibly....we make that jump...

We should definitely bring back Rex for next year in order to groom our QB if we have one, bridge one more year, or to backup someone. However, Rex Grossman just seems to play scared at times. He forces passes when the pocket breaks down and has a lot of intentional groundings this year. He needs to stay in the pocket and develop an internal clock to get rid of the ball quicker. Reminds me of what Carson Palmer has become now. Sometimes Palmer makes big time throws, but under pressure he forces throws and he rarely throws the ball away which results in many interceptions as well as fumbles from sacks. I want a quarterback that has more confidence in the pocket, and if Rex increase his football IQ (i.e. internal clock and ball security) I think he could be an average to above average quarterback as we await for our future QB

Grossman was good on Sunday, but of course, we all know how Jekyll/Hyde he can be. Next week, he might throw 4 INTs and fumble twice.

Jumbo is right though. These games lately show we are headed in the right directon. If we can get a QB here who is more consistent and less turnover prone than Grossman, this offense, I believe, is going places.
    HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!
