Saw a story on 60 minutes last Sunday about a political prisoner camp in NK called "Camp 14"

Some guy was born in the camp which sentences you to "Three generations of prison"

His father was imprisoned because his brothers ran off so his entire family was sent to that prison

Eventually escaped but can you imagine being born and raised in a prison to work menial labor for your entire life

My wife just bought that book last week. We also saw that interview on 60 minutes.

If I'm not mistaken, I think he sold his family out and got them locked up. Years later he feels guilty about it.

    Edit:
He got his mom and brother executed by snitching on them.

Everyone is sick of them, but what can you do? Make a military move against them and 500,000 people in Seoul would die in the next day. They can't defeat us, but they have hostages.

US sends warships as North Korea prepares rocket launch

The United States is shifting four warships into position to track and possibly defend against a planned North Korean rocket launch, while urging Pyongyang to cancel its second such attempt this year, officials told NBC News.

The Aegis guided-missile cruiser Shiloh and three guided-missile destroyers John S. McCain, Benfold and Fitzgerald will be put in place as a "prudent precaution," officials told NBC News.

The Navy ships' guided missile will attempt to intercept and destroy the North Korean missile if it veers off course and threatens either Japan or the Philippines.

The North Koreans have announced they will attempt to "put a satellite into orbit" atop a ballistic missile sometime between Dec. 10 and Dec. 22.

The book was featured prominently on 60 minutes. It really makes you think, the feature they did. I did some more research on the camps after 60 minutes, on Wikipedia. It really is terrifying.

I've thought about getting the book.

According to them to put up a sattelite.
According to others, to test long range ballistic missle capability.

Reportedly this one went farther than the launch in April.

Thanks. Hmm, shooting rockets to put up a satellite. Shouldn't they be shooting them up then? Like towards space? And what do they want this satellite to do?

I don't know why they would want to start beef with anyone. Why they gotta be so belligerent?

I don't really expect people to answer all those questions just thinking aloud.
