RIP royallypwned.
Yeah I can see two movies, and I expected two because there's so much that happens in The Hobbit, but even with all the Bilbo-related stuff in the LOTR appendices and Gandalf's experiences away from Bilbo's group with the necromancer it's hard to picture it being 3 movies.
But I love The Hobbit story more than LOTR, and I have full faith in Peter Jackson, plus the production videos have been great so far, so I will not complain and simply look forward to all 3 films.

TBH, I don't know much about any of the stories that "bridge the gap"
Either way, im excited as hell!
I fully expect The Hobbit to blow away LOTR. Which is saying a helluva lot

How can you not have faith in this guy?

Hobbit Currency is legal tender in New Zealand
New Zealand will release commemorative Hobbit coins worth thousands of kiwi dollars ahead of next month's premier.
Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the wizard will feature on the coins that will mark the opening of Peter Jackson's latest movie of the Tolkein epic.

Meet the Feebles is one of the funniest, and most disturbing movies I've ever seen. I used to have a bootlegged VHS tape copy and I wore that thing out showing it to everyone I could at college. Fun times...

Still wonder what the third movie will be all about. I haven't heard anything much so if anyone hears that the third film is kind of a bridging the gap film for the 60 years between the Hobbit and LOTR, please post. I also wonder if the thrid flim will be the ending of the Hobbit and they chose to include Gandalf's battle with the necromancer in with the films, much like LOTR did switching back between merry and pippin, Frodo and Sam, and the rest.
