I thought this would be a fun way to look back, after the off season is over & score who was the closest in their Redskins predictions. Who the guru's are, so to speak?

Just give me your Top 10 OFF-SEASON predictions on what the Redskins will do.
This can involve the Draft,Trades, Free Agent signings, Coaches/Staff signings or even regular or surprise cuts that you think will happen before the regular season.
(Please Note: this is Off-Season stuff, so no Helu rushes for a 1000 or Hankerson has 70 catches or any stat related topic. These are In-Season info)

- March 13, Free Agency and Trading Period Opens

Here's my Top 10

#3) The Redskins will sign DE/OLB Mario Williams (Unrestricted Free Agent from Texans)
#4) The Redskins will sign OC Nick Hardwick (Unrestricted Free Agent From Chargers)

#5) SS LaRon Landry will be Franchise Tagged & Traded this 2012 off season. Either to move up in a trade package for the #1 or #2 pick or for simply added draft picks in general.

#7) The Redskins will draft OG Kevin Zeitler/Wisconsin
#8) The Redskins will draft NT Hebron Fangupo/BYU
#9) The Redskins will draft SS Winston Guy Jr./Kentucky

I don't really have ten predictions regarding the 2012 off-season. Props to you for making some bold and specific predictions - opening yourself up for some criticism.

- Redskins trade their 2012 1st and 3rd and their 2013 1st round selection to move up from #6 to #3 and select Robert Griffin III. This is working under the assumption that a 1st rounder from the following year is only worth a 2nd rounder this year as well as the premium nature of the draft choice. Redskins could offer the Vikings their 1st, 2nd, 3rd rounders in 2012, but I don't believe they will want to do that.
- Redskins franchise tag Laron Landry.
- Redskins make a run at signing Dwayne Bowe but he ends up re-signing with the Chiefs.
- Redskins re-sign Adam Carriker.
- Redskins release Rocky McIntosh.

I predict I will be nervous as a pregnant nun come draft day !
I also predict a 3 team trade coming draft day, and the Skins will be smack dab in the middle of it. Most likely coming from the Colts, and/or Browns or Tampa Bay. Either way, we give up a former rookie RB and multiple draft picks.
I also predict Cooley will part ways with the team; sad to see him go, but biz is biz...
On a lighter note, I predict Stacy Dash will continue to ignore my requests to share some redi-whip and caramel...

I can see Adam Carriker re-signed, as Haslett really likes him.
The rocky release is expected around here, but he seems to be a lot like Rock Cartwright...just won't go away

Garcon is a nice bold prediction as well

He's a tough call for me, because Fred Davis being a Free agent.

Many around here have talked and wanted the Skins to trade him, since the emergence of Fred Davis.
It's been quiet on that front with Davis smoking dope and getting suspended.

And some consider him a core Redskins

Be like trading D. Green

Personally...I would like to see him retire a redskins, but NFL is a business and you never know?

1. People here will post ridiculous and unrealistic mock drafts.
2. People here will become infatuated with virtually every FA who hits the market.
3. People here will inflate the trade value of Redskin players to silly levels.
4. People here will pretend every other team is stupid, and will do what is in the Redskins' best interest.
5. People here will post things about having players "restructure" their contracts, as if that word is a magic wand that makes all salary cap problems disappear.
6. People here will think virtually every rumor related to virtually every player deserves it's own thread.
7. People here will continue to misunderstand how franchise tags and RFA tenders work.
8. People here will overreact to completely unfounded and unrealistic rumors.
9. People here will have no idea how the salary cap works, and will therefore pretend it basically doesn't exist.
10. People here will fail to recognize exactly how brilliant I am.

Thats about it for me. I dont think there will be a big splash other than the draft and adding a WR. I like the direction the team is headed just need to add the QB to it this year.

There's a lot of factors and options. I guess I'll do it this way, hedging my bets on some of them:

1. We will either pursue RGIII or Flynn, depending on what Shanahan likes. Luck won't be here.
2. We will sign a FA WR, probably either Garcon, Bowe, or Meachem.
3. We will get at least 2 Olineman between FA and the draft.
4. We will either sign a vet CB or draft one in the 1st 3 rounds.
5. The D-line will not change except having Jenkins come in.
6. Cooley gets re-signed unless his injury is worse than we've heard.
7. Trent Williams and Fred Davis both get one year deals or multi-year deals with outs. Both come back though.
8. Landry is either re-signed or turned into a chess piece for the draft game. I'd put my money on re-signed.
9. I think we'll draft an ILB, but no earlier than the 4th round.
10. I think Hightower gets re-signed
11. Of the 9 WRs currently on our roster, I think at least 2 get tossed to make room for a FA, and if we draft one we toss 3. (Armstrong, Austin, Stallworth, Anderson, and Moss are up on that list)
12. Brandon Banks will be back, but won't be used as a WR all season; only as a returner.

What the hell, it's the offseason. Here's 10 predictions:

1. The Redskins will draft a QB, but they will not take him at #6. They will either trade up to get one of the top 2, or they trade down and pick somebody up in the top of the 2nd. Most likely the former
2. We will draft 2 QBs. One in the last 2 rounds of the draft as a 3rd string/development guy.
3. Landry will not be here in 2012. If he is tagged, he will be traded, but he will not suit up for this team by opening day of 2012.
4. Chris Cooley will be the starting TE at the beginning of the season. Fred Davis will be back, but he will be punished with a backup role to start the year until he earns his way out of Mike's doghouse
5. Roy Helu will be the most experience HB we carry to start the season.
6. Rex Grossman will, unfortunately, be the opening day starter at QB, but will not hold that role by the end of the year.
7. After the last 2 years, this offseason will be heavily skewed toward offense. Especially QB, WR, and OL
8. The Redskins will finally, somehow, miraculously break their curse and beat a rookie QB for once.
9. The Redskins will finish below .500 and miss the playoffs.
10. The Redskins will finish at least .500 in the division this year.

Boldest prediction ever, due to history: People here will be happy with the QB situation going into next year.

1. We will give up a ton but end up with Andrew Luck and finally have our franchise Qb and face of the franchise.
2. Tim Hightower will be resigned.
3. We will sign WR Eddie Royal.
4. We will sign RT Ryan Harris.
5. We will sign G Carl Nicks.
6. The Eagles will release CB Asante Samuel & the Redskins will sign him.
7. Laron Landry will be resigned.
8. Brandon Banks, Jamaal Brown, Rocky MCintosh, Rex Grossman & Donte Stallworth will be released or not resigned.
9. Golston & Carraker will be resigned.
10. Raheem Morris will not be DB coach but Tony Sporano will be brought in as assistant HC/OL. (propably just wishful thinking)

I predict; no, wait; I AM SURE, Rex will come into camp next year at least 30 lbs overweight. He will not care because he knows his grip on the starting qb position has slipped through his fingers.
Would it be a stretch to say Beck will do a music video with Justin Bieber? And MTV will not aire it, because they don't do music videos...
