If we pull this off & land RG3 come draft day?
There will only be 3 things in life, that are certain.
#1)Death
#2)Taxes
#3)Redskins VS Eagles Prime Time(Sunday/Monday Night) Week-1 NFL 2012 Season
And I will love it!
If we actually end up trading for the #2 pick, it would be like letting your buddy choose between a lingerie model and a swimsuit model, then taking the other one. You can't really go wrong![]()

Likewise, you could be right. RG3 could be "the one". Better odds that he is than the other prospects. I'm just saying Luck's ranked higher, this same draft. Other recent QBs have been hyped as much as RGIII, and turned out so far as good as we hope Griffin will be if Shanny gets him. I'm betting drafts in the near-future will be the same.
I guess where I'm coming from, is that I was proud Shanny didn't reach for a QB like Gabbert last season. I read on this board that Shanallen was hoping Locker would fall to us, when that didn't happen, well I'm pleased with the results. If Shanny gives a lot of picks to Fisher, and RG3 is our franchise QB, it's fantastic for us. If we don't get RG3, maybe Shanny picks another QB who works almost as well for us, and we also load up in other positions like last draft. Both are dream scenarios for me. Shanny "master of the smokescreen" might have yet another strategy in mind....

Dear Shanny, Allen, Snyder, etc.
Tomorrow is my birthday. Get the number 2 pick and I won't ask for anything else!!

The Browns aren't the ones dreaming, sorry. A LOT has to fall into place for Washington to outbid Cleveland and jump up to No. 2, but some of you seem to have already presumed it to be fact instead of speculation. You can't let what you want to happen cloud what you truly believe will happen.
Even if this was a normal draft year, the Browns are two spots ahead of the Skins in every round. That means an offer Cleveland makes that equals the picks the Skins offer is automatically better (and the Browns will likely be the ones who have the last right of refusal), but also having the No. 22 as trade ammo is what really puts the Browns in the driver's seat. I don't know if Cleveland is willing to offer this much, but if we tell Jeff Fisher he can have our 4, 22 and 1st round pick next year, that is checkmate for the Skins. Barring a Ricky Williams type of offer this year as well as 1st-rounders in 2013 and 2014, there's nothing Washington could do to top an offer like that.
As far as the Browns sending mixed signals to the Rams, isn't that exactly what you want to do at this time of year? There's nothing to be gained by coming out and saying "Yep, he's our guy and we'll do whatever it takes to get him." Silence is indeed golden in this case. The Skins can't know with complete certainty what Cleveland's plans are until either a deal is made with the Rams or the No. 4 pick rolls around, and I think that might motivate Shanahan to look for a QB in free agency since they can't take the risk of going into the draft empty-handed (unless you guys really like Tannehill). Even then, Tannehill's stock is on the rise. I expect him to go in the top 10.
Imagine this scenario for a second: the Skins don't sign a QB in FA because they plan on taking Tannehill at No. 6 since the cost of outbidding the Browns has become too prohibitive. The Browns and Rams strike a deal for No. 2. Luck goes 1, RG3 goes 2. Then someone like Seattle trades up with either the Vikings or Bucs and snags Tannehill in front of you. It would cost a hell of a lot for the Seahawks to move all the way up to No. 2, but not as much for No. 5. Where does that leave Washington? In an utter nightmare scenario.
I think the Browns are playing this just right.
