Just a random thought I felt like posting.
Notice how the talk of "OMG THE REDSKINS TRADED EVERYTHINGG!!!" has died down and now it is just "The Redskins and Colts look to be in place to land franchise QB's in this year's draft."? Pretty damn sweet. Can't stand how sports fans overreact in today's day and age.
Is there still any Redskin fan that thinks we gave up too much?
Eli Manning will be 31 years old when the 2012 season starts.Michael Vick will be 32 years old when the 2012 season starts.Tony Romo will be 32 years old when the 2012 season starts.ROBERT GRIFFIN III will be 22 years old when the 2012 season starts.

^^
Why Barry Sanders too?
don't get me wrong, I think he's an amazing back. Just don't understand the concept
Thanks SOUP for the sig!!
Yeah that doesn't quite work the same. Rogers sat behind Favre for a few years. RGIII is starting immediately. That alone gives Rogers an advantage.
I also "erroneously" said McNabb wouldn't work out here and was not one of the many predicting the Skins would be over .500 in 2011, so yeah. Disagreeing with the majority here is grounds for being automatically wrong I've noticed, and it's more rampant here than damn near any other team in the NFL. We'll see in 2012, won't we? I have a good feeling we'll all be watching RGIII struggle massively with this O Line. Far more than Rogers who had more talent and more time to watch a future hall of famer in action. Major difference.Mr. Rodgers would like to have a word with you to explain that this simplistic view you have spammed in thread after thread is incorrect and so save us all from having to see you post it erroneously time after time in different threads having to do with Griffin.
Not sure why we'd watch RG3 struggle behind this OL (or an improved version) when Rex Grossman handled it just fine for the most part. RG3 has a history as a VERY efficient QB in terms of TD/INT. I don't expect that to change hugely, although his propensity to fumble is a worry behind our OL.
For the most part though, his quick release, excellent mobility, and history of efficiency throwing the ball leave me pretty unworried about his ability to succeed behind even our current OL.
"In 2012 the Redskins are gonna be the NFC East champions, and that starts right ****ing today.” --- Kyle Shanahan, 1/1/12.
I don't think we gave up too much at all.
Actually, quite the contrary....
What would you rather have given up for RG3?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What we did? 1st in 2013, 1st in 2014 & 2nd in 2012 draft?
Or QB Rex Grossman, 1st in 2013, 1st in 2014 & a 3rd rd pick(Pick #69)?
Cause that's what the Bears gave up, to get QB Jay Cutler.
And if you guys remember, Cutler could easily be our QB right now.Denver traded Jay Cutler to the Bears for QB Kyle Orton, 1st rd pick in 2009 (18th overall), 1st rd pick in 2010 (25th overall) & 3rd rd pick in 2009.(84th overall)
I don't think people realize, just how good a deal we got.![]()
Yes yes, you were THE ONLY SOUL who thought McNabb wouldn't work in this offense, and everyone is just on the RG3 bandwagon, and you were one of the "few" people predicting a losing season. Congrats, you're either clairevoyant, a pessimist, or damn ****ing lucky.
You don't like RG3. We know this. Give it a ****ing rest.
He already got his cover. Front Page Sports Football Pro 1996. It was Madden before Madden was Madden. First game with franchise mode and AWESOME. Especially for that period in football video game history.

So painfully honest.

Again, I don't think we'll know if it was worth it for a couple of years. Remember that when the Bears obtained Cutler he was already a legit NFL starting QB who had a been to a pro bowl and had 2 good seasons under his belt. We're talking about a rookie who has never even been to an NFL practice yet.

Guys, don't forget that the Raiders traded a 1st and a 2nd for Palmer..
We did get a good deal. If you think a guy can be your franchise QB, you do whatever it takes to get him. I think this shows just how much Shanny likes Griff. He didn't do this for Cutler.
