I guess we have to do what we have to do... However it would be a high price to pay.. because it comes down to giving the Rams 2 first round picks to move up 4 spots... I have some reservations... now if we were down in the teens and we were offering up 2 first rounders to swap then I would feel better about it...

Well obviously, because that would be a sweet deal. You wouldnt be able to move up from the teans to the number 2 pick with just a couple first rounders, especially ones that are in a year or two. I would do that in a heartbeat. Part of the reason is because I trust this team now to be able to pick up good players in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th rounds that can be impactful for us.

I am talking about my current pick being in the teens instead of being at #6... then it would be giving up 3 picks in the teens to get the #2 pick.

see above... I am talking about our current pick... I would feel better about giving them 2 additional first round picks if we were jumping up from let say #13 to #2 then from #6 to #2.

It would take a hell of a lot more than that to go from the teens to 2. Especially now that the picks have more value due to the new CBA. Anything outside the top ten, and it would be damn near impossible to trade up.

well I think we are overpaying if we are giving up 3 first round picks which include #6 pick this year for a #2 pick. I am not saying it is wrong that we are over-paying for a player that we desperately need but I think everyone would have to agree that we are over-paying to get RG3 if the trade goes down as Clayton described this morning...

This is not a farfetched possibility. Regardless, I will not lose my mind if the Redskins don't get RG3. In fact, I would be happy and sad with getting him and not getting him. If the Redskins get RG3 (happy), it will cost several high draft picks (sad). If the Redskins don't get RG3 (sad), they will keep all of their draft picks and keep building the team with multiple young talent (happy). Not getting RG3 will not be the end of the world! No matter what happens I will be HAPPY...and a little sad.

That's probably the best way to look at it. I just want him here because he seems to have a strong upside. Plus this team hasn't had a really exciting player since Sean Taylor. I used to get so excited to him play. I want that feeling again.

I would be excited with getting RG3 but I would definitely pause before I pull the trigger on a trade like that...

If we keep our second, I'm ok with whatever. That second can be traded down over and over to recoup the picks (like we did last year)

the fact that the media is talking about this #2 pick which might not happen for two months over say Manning which something will happen in a week tells me that this pick will be traded soon, also remember that Schefter has a close relationship with Shanahan
