That's what I'm thinking, but no way it is, Indy cars handle like they're on rails but the taxis that NASCAR drives have to be manhandled around the track, I think this weekend has pretty much ruined any illusion she might have been fostering about NASCAR being an easier ride. More money? Sure...easier? No.

Yep, 1 win in 7 seasons puts her in the "got lucky once" category IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised if Danica fails to crack the top 20 this year. You can luck into a good finish on a restrictor plate race but that's not going to happen for the rest of her race schedule.

Fox's coverage of Danica is gross. Danica shouldn't be getting more coverage than the other drivers, she hasn't earned anything. Mikey and DW going nuts over Danica makes them look like idiots.

Considering she's only racing 10 Sprint Cup races I think finishing outside the top 20 is a given. Although, I'm trying to think, points are awarded to the car not necessarily the driver, and the #10 is running a full schedule if I'm not mistaken, even still I don't think anyone is projecting the #10 to finish in the top half of the class.

Same goes for Earnhardt Jr then too, but the fans want to see him. Like it or not she is the story right now. And the nonsense that she "covered her eyes" is stupid, she obviously put her hands to the sides of her helmet clearing them from the steering wheel the same way she was taught to do in open wheel, Jimmy grabbed his restraints as did Kahne and no one is accusing them of being scared. I think there is a lot of legitimate things to criticize about Danica, this past weekend's performance just isn't one of them, nor is what she did in the wreck.

I'd agree with this. When I was watching last night and saw JJ take his hands off the wheel, I said I wonder if he will get blasted for doing what Danica did. Sure she may not be that great, but she is a story in NASCAR and like it or not, they're going to talk about her when she races. I think its good for NASCAR because I think more casual fans will check in when she races just to see how she does.

I meant cracking the top 20 for any individual race.

thats the one thing that really drives me crazy about DW...

During the replay of JJs wreck, he said JJ learned to take his hands off the wheel from Danica.

Um..no, thats always been common knowledge to all drivers, and DW probably even did it when he raced

Common knowledge to all drivers of any quality in any racing format. Only joe average hits something with his hands all tensed up if he has time to see it coming.

The other funny that was said last night- One of the announcers can't remember exactly who, but said someone should get in the truck and drive off the track, even my wife thought that was absolutely hilarious.

Did you look at her earnings? , they actually went down after entering IRL. She is over-rated and over-hyped. Shes a marketing tool for suckers.

That bothered the hell out of me. 5 cars in a wreck and all they kept showing is how they were repairing her car. I never knew what was going on with Kurt's car.

Actually, I'm not entirely convinced that the graph shows what you think it shows. Since her consistency only dropped marginally in the past seven years, look at the graph again her average finish was 1/10th better in her last IRL year than it was in her first, so the prize money actually isn't reflective of her finishes, but more than likely the decline in prize money awarded in the IRL races over the past seven years. I think the graph pretty clearly shows that her driving his very consistent....consistently average, but still consistent.

Umm, Kurt was in the Lap 2 wreck and completed 113 laps. He did come back.

I'm glad I recorded that race. Wow. I have never seen anything like that before. Just un-dirty word-believable. I loved how Keslowski (sp) had his phone and was twittering pics from his car. There's an article about it on MSNBC.com too. And I am also sick and tired of Danica. I understand the hype but when Shawna Robinson was in the 500 the coverage wasn't all over her. I agree with the sentiment that she won't crack the top 20 in any of the Sprint Cup races she will race in. At leas she's not racing Sprint Cup in Phoenix so it wont be crammed down our throats that badly.
