I still feel that any lack of attendance to any of the DNC events is likely what would be expected for the two reasons of re-election (Known commodity now) and the fact that its in NC, where support was there, but never in depth for President Obama to begin with.

I will dispute the lack of interest, I know of at least 10 people in the NoVa area who applied for passes but didn't get them. Either the talk of poor attendance is nonsense, or they just didn't organize well enough to fill the venues. The availability of tickets and process to obtain them was not generally advertised in this area.

As someone who went to the convention yesterday, I can tell you the place was packed except for noise bleed seats and there were also a lot of people were walking around the arena . I'll post some pictures later but it was really cool just walking around and checking out the atmosphere. Saw lots of politicians and media members up close.
