Clinton crushed Romney and Ryan tonight. It was hilarious when he said it takes brass when referring to Paul Ryan's medicare claim.
Holy crap. President Clinton just kicked an entire party's ass for thirty minutes.
I wish people hate me as much as Clinton hates Obama. To philosphically be at odds with someone and drop a speech like that on their behalf.
It's a shame that President Obama can't seem to explain his own accomplishments the way that Clinton did.
Obama is a powerful speaker too, more eloquent than Clinton, but not as charismatic.
This was an amazing speech, he has tremendous credibility. Makes high minded ideals and abstractions seem like the most natural and obvious things in the world. Boils issues down for the masses to digest with his interpretations seeming like the natural, common sense ones. His charisma completely sells his message.
Obama slays in this kind of convention atmosphere. I expect his speech to be impressive too. He can easily summon a really powerful sense of history and idealism that inspires his audience. Have Clinton set him up, excoriate the republicans and lay bare their nonsense, play cheerleader for Obama's policy record, connect with the common man and speak to their brains. Then have Obama come in tomorrow and speak to their hearts. It's a winning combination.
"John Wall will never be as good as Kyrie Irving was in his first week in the NBA" - David Falk, published February 14, 2013.
Brit Hume: Clinton was "wonky" & "self-indulgent" & his speech was 30% too long.
Romney got no bounce, but Obama will.
