Fair enough. But due to the electoral college, the polling that matters is state by state, and when doing state by state polling in 2010, Rasmussen was pretty bad.

Also voted Steve Troxler cause I'm friends with his son and he's done a great job. I am encouraging all my conservative friends NOT to vote for John Tedesco for State superintendent. He's a loser. Anyways, I always love the feeling of voting.
I'm guessing you voted for Barbara Howe. I plan on doing the same (though it's because I genuinely support her). It wouldn't surprise me if she had some affect on the race, if for nothing else than to keep the margin somewhat close.

McCrory's got this one in the bag, though. The Democrats in this state really need to step their game up or else it will be another 20 years before we have another Democratic governor.

North Carolina is not going for Obama. Not a chance. Virginia and Florida will be closer, but will probably also go for Romney.

The key to the election is the upper Midwest, and maybe Nevada or Colorado might matter. Obama is going to get Pennsylvania and Michigan. The real fight is in Ohio, Wisconsin and Iowa.

Agreed on all count there. I'm starting to wonder if I was wrong and that North Carolina's status as swing state in 2008 was a fluke (though the changing demographics may keep it from being a solid red state from here on out).

Agreed. I believe whoever wins OH will win the election.

Polls are looking good for Obama in Iowa right now too

It was a fluke. North Carolina is only a few years removed from Jesse Helms. Nothing changes that fast.

Fwiw, Iowa looks like it's Obama's to lose at this point.

I did vote for her even though I don't agree with 75% of what I've heard. I think we need more voices, candidates and choices. It won't be that long before we get another Democratic governor. Scandals happen, they cut drastically in the name of tax cuts, anything could swing it back.

NC could easily swing back to the Democrats next election depending on who the candidates are and how whomever is President performs.

I think Virginia still goes for Obama. Pennsylvania and Michigan were never swing states. How quickly will Obama have an ad up about defending and winning the case against China involving US steel in Ohio??

I made that exact same point on another forum saying that it was only a matter of time before Penn got the nod as "leans Obama". Weird that it still hasn't happened.

What do you mean RCP? What bias (D or R) does it have?
