    Oh, now you've done it.

Any minute, we're going to have somebody trying to pretend that Texas and California are the only red and blue states.

I'm convinced Texas exists in some mirror universe where somehow bull**** works through sheer force of will...

This is real. Like really real. Like a Super PAC sat down with an ad agency and came up with this commercial.

Oh, please no, not a mirror universe! I'm going to move there, much to my dismay, to be closer to my family.

On above ad: they are nice looking actors!

There's nothing I hate more than a disgustingly attractive couple, thank god they don't exist in real life. Those two look like black Barbie and Ken.

Love the "Republicans passed the Civil Rights Act. Democrats opposed it".

From the Wiki on the Civil Rights Act of 1964:

    By party

    The original House version:[16]

    Democratic Party: 152–96 (61–39%)
    Republican Party: 138–34 (80–20%)

    Cloture in the Senate:[17]

    Democratic Party: 44–23 (66–34%)
    Republican Party: 27–6 (82–18%)

    The Senate version:[16]

    Democratic Party: 46–21 (69–31%)
    Republican Party: 27–6 (82–18%)

The Senate version, voted on by the House:[16]

    Democratic Party: 153–91 (63–37%)
    Republican Party: 136–35 (80–20%)

    By party and region

Note: "Southern", as used in this section, refers to members of Congress from the eleven states that made up the Confederate States of America in the American Civil War. "Northern" refers to members from the other 39 states, regardless of the geographic location of those states.

    The original House version:

    Southern Democrats: 7–87 (7–93%)
    Southern Republicans: 0–10 (0–100%)

    Northern Democrats: 145–9 (94–6%)
    Northern Republicans: 138–24 (85–15%)

    The Senate version:

    Southern Democrats: 1–20 (5–95%)
    Southern Republicans: 0–1 (0–100%)
    Northern Democrats: 45–1 (98–2%)
    Northern Republicans: 27–5 (84–16%)

How many of those Southern Democrats then switched to the Republican Party, especially during the Nixon Southern Strategy years?

Dunno. Ask Jesse Helms and Strom Thurmond. Oh wait, they're dead. Trent Lott is still alive - he could tell you.

I kept waiting for the Saturday Night Live punchline. The fact that it never came just leaves me feeling like it was edited out.

I'm so glad we have SuperPacs to help us all make the most well-informed, unemotional political decisions possible.

The Citizens United decision has made this country a better place fer sure.

I tried to find out if this was an Onion video, because the guy did not sound real. But then I looked these people up and it's all real.

What the hell...LOL. This is too funny.

I am honestly thinking about getting a fake arm grafted on to my torso so I can do a triple facepalm after watching that.

I also love how they somehow managed to get the guy who seems to do the voiceover work for every infomercial ever to voice the end of that ad.

I kept waiting to hear about how I can get a second one absolutely free if I order now.

Empower Citizen Network has followed up their commercial above with a NEW edition, this time featuring Don Cheadle!

Okay, that one is a joke. But the similarities are depressingly hilarious.
