The beginning of the sport closest to my heart. Football may be my favorite, but I played baseball for 16-17 years, umpired for 10, and it's always got a special place for me. I was a pitcher, and nothing beats walking onto a freshly mown diamond, lines painted, getting ready to take the mound. Let's go Nats.

I'm the same way. I love football, but baseball was my first love. I think alot of it has to do with playing baseball for so many years. I always get excited for baseball season, even if I know the Orioles have no hope.

Looks like soon the Bucs rotation will be Correia, Bedard, Burnett, Karstens, McDonald/Morton; arguably the best rotation top-to-bottom in the NL Central.

RIP, Kid. Gary Carter played the game as it was supposed to be played.

Meanwhile, I still await news on the Burnett deal. Sounds like probably Sunday. According to several sources, the Bucs are the only team still in the running. :fingerscrossed:
