What kind of odds could you have gotten against Barry Zito throwing 7 scoreless innings at Coors Field today?

After seeing their SP get rocked in that joke of a stadium in Arizona, the Gmen needed a good start by Zito.

    ---------- Post added April-9th-2012 at 03:48 PM ----------

Make that 8 scoreless innings for Zito in Denver..

at 103 pitches, I wonder if they run him back out there for the chance at a CG?

    ---------- Post added April-9th-2012 at 04:03 PM ----------

    and now I'm stunned.

A CG shutout for Barry Zito at Coors Field.

thank GOD i didn't pay $200 for an opening day event ticket.

Rockies got sodomized today at their home opener, losing 7-0.

Unbelievable. They didn't come back from commercial in time, and we missed Darvish's first pitch as a result. WTF?! That is inexcusable.

Darvish has gotten better every inning. And now he is in line for a W if our BP can bring it home. The Rangers offense had Yu's back tonight.

Saw something on Twitter about that.

Basically saying the media loves Guillen for all the stuff he says and does. Now he says this and they all want him fired.

Looks like Ozzie is suspended 5 games: http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/20...or-five-games/

“The Marlins acknowledge the seriousness of the comments attributed to Guillen. The pain and suffering caused by Fidel Castro cannot be minimized especially in a community filled with victims of the dictatorship."

Maybe it's because I'm not Cuban, or caribbean, or whatever - but I really don't see how this is comparable to what Schott said back in the 90's.

Castro is no Hitler. Not to diminish the crap that Castro has done.

Either way, Guillen needs to control his drinking...and his mouth. He's a poor representation of MLB (which, like it or not...all MLB employees are).

Wow...thank God I didn't pull the trigger on some opening day tickets for the Rockies. Tickets for opening day at Coors Field were going for like $120+. But I've never been to an opening day game and almost bought tickets for my wife and I.

What a waste that would've been...Rockies got blanked by the Giants 7-0. Just 4 hits for the Rocks. I would've been pissed

Definitely wasn't a smart thing to say, especially being in Miami now. But it wasn't one of the worst things in the world .

If Ozzie's still in Chicago, this isn't nearly as big a story, IMO. But you simply cannot say things like that in Miami.

You're right. He has to pray that the Marlins(which I don't think they would) did not can his ass. But we are talking about a guy who has supported Hugo Chavez, but has since denounced him when he was asked a question after being hired by the Marlins. He definitely needs to lay off the scotch or whatever he drinks.
